There is where the problem is, actually. When a law is constantly broken even in its current state then what happens when it's legal yet has restrictions? Do you think that people magically start following the law or is what we're looking at here is a total, non restrictive legal drug?

Wheres the problem, with the people or the law enforcement. Sometimes here in canada the govenrnment is like bad parents, they use hollow threats and never follow throught with punishment the way they say they will. If everyone started some activity, that harms/killed people, sometimes harms/kills people who happent o be in the vicinity. Would the government just make it legal simce the use is so widespread and hypocritical? What if everyone paid a tax on their harm/ kill substance would it be better to make traxes instead of spending on enforcement. Well then smoking is legal not for moral reasons, not for health reasons, for financial reasons. So why doesnt the gov just make its money, save time and money enforcing law (if thats what theyre doing) and let them have their cake. I mean the reasons are not why leagalise marijuana, but why is tobacco sales not only legal but extremely profitable and detrimental to organized society all at once. So in effect im just using flawed rationale but how do you have a basis for comparison here can you compare marijuana to legal recreational drugs like lipitor, viagra, celebrex, propecia.... And how do you control marijuanas negative effects and maximise its positves, you make more drugs...
Marijuana, warning side effects may include, distorted sense of time and space, increased cravings, ability to entertain ones self with tinfoil balls, lowered comprehension/ explanation skills, reduced vision via slanted eyes, loss of short term memory, lack of motivation. do not use this drug if you are on antidepressants or live in your parents house longer than 19 years.

The problem is once something becomes part of society even if it's detrimental it's damn near impossible to get rid of. Look at alcohol prohibition. The people went ****ing nuts and yet it's legal and kill more people than pot has or ever will. Will pot, if it is legalized become a much more pronounced and harmful product once illegal in the society of the US?

Remember that what works and doesn't work in other societies does not mean we will see the same results. What scares a lot of people is legalizing pot and not being able to turn back afterwards if it's realized making it legal (in the US) is a mistake.

Freedom, as far as my personal definition is "a people being unobstructed as long as they are not detromental to OTHERS." Even if something were to kill someone on the first hit, making it illegal violates freedom IMO. Althought some nutcase could just start burning it in a building...

If it turns out this country cant handle pot being legal, then the brits were right way back when in saying that the common man can not handle freedom.

Freedom ends where anothers begins. Your freedom is basically anarchy by definition. People can not handle complete freedom and certain societies are able to handle different types and different amounts. No one has figured out the perfect world yet.

Want a society without rules or just one without the rules you currently do not like? Cause as you get older or experience different things in life your views will change. Whether it would be for a looser or stronger laws isn't relavent. However, as YOU change and see things differently should the laws change too?

Plus if you happen to like a country/place where the current laws are what you find ideal you can always move there and become a resident but I will guess that there is probably something else in that particular place that doesn't make it appealing. Which is why I say that no one has got the perfect society. Weigh the positives and the negatives and find what suits you and make that your home. For some it's the US for others it's Japan and the for the rest there's West Virginia.

i have my own opinions on rec drugs too .. but i don't think we should discuss this on an anabolics forum .. we don't need people making more connections that don't really exist

hey man like i said i have my own opinions on this and they are very much in line with yours

however ... it IS illegal and there's no need for people to associate bodybuilders NOT ONLY with gear but with other illegal drugs (to some people marijuana is in the same category as coke)
