There is where the problem is, actually. When a law is constantly broken even in its current state then what happens when it's legal yet has restrictions? Do you think that people magically start following the law or is what we're looking at here is a total, non restrictive legal drug?
Wheres the problem, with the people or the law enforcement. Sometimes here in canada the govenrnment is like bad parents, they use hollow threats and never follow throught with punishment the way they say they will. If everyone started some activity, that harms/killed people, sometimes harms/kills people who happent o be in the vicinity. Would the government just make it legal simce the use is so widespread and hypocritical? What if everyone paid a tax on their harm/ kill substance would it be better to make traxes instead of spending on enforcement. Well then smoking is legal not for moral reasons, not for health reasons, for financial reasons. So why doesnt the gov just make its money, save time and money enforcing law (if thats what theyre doing) and let them have their cake. I mean the reasons are not why leagalise marijuana, but why is tobacco sales not only legal but extremely profitable and detrimental to organized society all at once. So in effect im just using flawed rationale but how do you have a basis for comparison here can you compare marijuana to legal recreational drugs like lipitor, viagra, celebrex, propecia.... And how do you control marijuanas negative effects and maximise its positves, you make more drugs...
Marijuana, warning side effects may include, distorted sense of time and space, increased cravings, ability to entertain ones self with tinfoil balls, lowered comprehension/ explanation skills, reduced vision via slanted eyes, loss of short term memory, lack of motivation. do not use this drug if you are on antidepressants or live in your parents house longer than 19 years.
