Hey,

I bought ALCAR POWDER from a major bulk supplier down here on eBay.
In the past, alcar tastes very sour like and it's extremely strong.

However, this barely has any taste? CN that happen?

How can I tell if it's legit? They have CODs, but I'm unsure if that proves anything.

I took 3-4g, noticed nothing either.

Thanks

you cant tell if its legit without having an HPLC handy.

its melting point is 145 celsius, so you could in theory at least see if its anywhere CLOSE to the real thing by starting there. but highly unlikely itll tell you much

Curious - have you came across ALCAR that doesn’t have a strong, vinegar like taste? I’ve tried multiple brands and that’s common throughout

that sourness is usually a sign of older raw materials. when its very fresh it shouldn't have too much flavor. bitter but nothing insane.

guess I've never had 'fresh' ALCAR....for last 15 years it has always had the sourness.

I am too cheap to buy capped when bulk powder is sooo much cheaper...I just dump it into my morning 'wake up' drink. sns is a brand I trust.

Never bought ALCAR that was not sour - and I have bought lots from reputable companies (like SNS) over the years. And some companies (like SNS) multiple times.
Is that not a bit strange that I never got a 'fresh' batch?

Its sour fresh, I just have never recognized a "vinegar" like taste to it. I'm sure if you're getting it from companies like SNS it's the real deal and pretty fresh. I wasn't saying ti shouldn't be sour/bitter, but when it gets a vinegar-like or sour fish like taste, that stuff is OLD.
