It has been working for me. With enough protein intake I think the high volume helps preserve lean muscle while cutting. That's just me though.

It's fine, personally I like to be more in the 8-12 rep range but it's ok.

diet is more important when shedding fat. its hard to out train a bad diet....

Track your macos f/c/p, be in a caloric deficit. Slowly ease into doing cardio, you'll be much happier.

Exactly ! You said it perfectly. Too many people get hyper focused on what workout routine to follow for maximum fat loss etc... but fail to pay equal, if not more attention to proper diet. Get your diet in check first and then just about any workout routine will work ..... personally I like to stay in the 8-12 rep range for 2-3 weeks and then go heavy for 1-2 weeks with something like a 5x5 protocol. But again, without diet dialed in it really doesn't matter what you do in the gym ....
