It doesn't kill the gland, I don't think. I think it just binds to the estrogen receptor and does not allow estrogen to bind to it because it is pre-occupied with activity from the Ralox. Over time, this causes atrophy of the breast tissue because unlike estrogen, Ralox does not tell the tissue to grow, at least in theory. I've not had any good form of luck with Ralox though. It tends to exacerbate my existing issues when I take it. What has always worked for me is to take an AI of any sort in a moderate to high dose, consistently and every day alongside reducing the dose of aromatizing steroids until the lump is small enough to my liking.
Something else to point out though - that there are a host of dietary supplements that can exacerbate these issues and ramp up estrogen receptor activity. Hops comes to mind...so yes, drinking that beer while on a cycle of aromatizing steroids is a mistake.
