You know it's funny I was just gonna ask you yesterday about the difference between sugar and sugar alcohol. I'm a big fan (or was) of the life saver mints. In pretty sure the hidden ingredient is crack cocaine lol so I was gonna start buying the "sugar free" ones until I read that back and it said sugar alcohol kinda confused me a bit. I just put them down and kept moving on lolwell, kinda
impact on blood sugar/net energy source is a more definable stance
the idea on greens: since they are so hard to digest, and have such little caloric value to begin with, conceivably (you can picture this) they can have negative-cal impact (of course there is no such thing as negative calories, but you get the idea)
back to blood sugar: this does not mean go out and gorge on sugar alcohols (since they love to advertise that crap has "minimal impact" on glucose levels)
look at each gram of sugar alcohol, as 2cals worth of sugar..doesn't quite work out that way, but trust me when I tell you, sugar alcohols are NOT harmless
(not to mention the effect they have on some ppl's guts - like mine uggh) :thumbsdown:

it's more substantial amounts that are detrimental - like in protein bars and such
and - be on the lookout for those preWOs and such, that have the catch-phrase "hidden glucose polymers"..
