Hello! I LOVE this forum...been reading it a lot lately.

I play competitive racquetball(well just getting back into it after a long hiatus.

I just started taking plasmagen nitrate last week for a 2nd time and I take it about 45 minutes before I train(do drills and play racquetball) and I can really see the difference in energy and endurance and strength on the court and it seems to help my light weight workouts and has ZERO side effects which is important to me.

I dont do heavy weights....everything I do is in the 20-25 rep range.

BUT I used plasmagen last summer when I first started playing again and I noticed after about a month or two it just stops working.

I only weigh about between 140 and 150 or so and was wondering if there are any supplements you would recommend that would help with my strength, endurance, vascularity, muscle mass etc for what I do?

I do eat a lot and drink a lot of milk so I dont drop weight cause of all the calories I burn playing.

I prefer pills over powder.

thanks!

Creatine and Beta-Alanine would be a good place to start I think. Both of those can help with strength and especially endurance.

Muscle Mass? You're gonna have to hit the weights until those crazy myostatin inhibitors comes out.

Vascularity is more about bf% and genetics. However products like Arginine (AAKG), Citrulline (usually Citrulline malate), and Carnitine (specifically GPLC,) can help to promote nitric oxide levels or vasodilation.

I used to love playing racquetball. Talk about some cardio that's fun as hell! That's the one thing I miss about the college gym I used to go to.

I would look into carnbolic, it works in a similar fashion to Beta-Alanine, by increasing intra-muscular carnosine stores, but does so without creating those very annoying pringly effects, as well you will actually notice a difference from the first dose, oppose to beta-alanine that takes about 4 weeks or so to kick in.

beta alanine is pretty dang cheap plus its flavorless. i just picked up 1000 grams at nutra for 30 bucks. 5g a day, it will last 200 days(>6 months). best value of pretty much any supp available.

thank you for all the replies!

I had a big reply written from last night but when I clicked post I got an error on the site and it erased everything.

For the beta alanine, what dosage should I take? do I follow what is on the bottle?does beta alanine take a few weeks to kick in?

i like to take 6g/day. i usually notice benefits after a week and they get more pronounced the whole first month of use. my first time cycling it i used 9g/day and it was crazy awesome. it doesnt rly matter how u split up the dose but u will get the tingles rly bad if u take too much. what i do now is mix up my daily dose in a cup and sip it over maybe 20 minutes. just take a sip every time i walk by it so that i dont take too much at one time and i get no tingles. u can also take it with food

If you're looking for something to help with endurance I would try this l stuff called oxydrene by novadex its all natural supplement that helps with your cardiovascular system. I notice a big difference when I run, and ive cut my 3mile run time by like 40 seconds while on it.

Most take about 6 or more grams in a divided dose two or more times a day.

I'd start at 3g twice a day for a week and go from there.

Lots of great ideas..thank you very much..I really appreciate it!

I have 3 state championships in March, then Regionals in April and HOPEFULLY Nationals out in California in May.

I am from Cape Cod in Mass.

I was looking at the caps of Beta-Alanine but 6 grams I am better off with the powder...looks like it has no taste like creatine.

Will look into the oxydrene also..was reading a bit on it..looks interesting.
