WEll for CKD type diets the purpose is this.

Day1: Low carb Low insulin, high gh high test
Day2: Low carb Low insulin, high gh high test
Day3: Low carb Low insulin, high gh high test
Day4: Low carb Low insulin, high gh high test
Day5: Low carb Low insulin, high gh high test
Day6: Carb load High insulin, high gh high test
Day7: Carb load High insulin, high gh high test

From what i've read GH is suppressed by the release of insulin, however on a carb load it's suggested that because of the low amount of carbs during the week then the spikes through the day of insulin the body sees it as a stress or and releases high levels of gh.

I don't see the point in it unless your dieting..
And that kind of dieting should only be for competition because it's just that stupid.

I just do what you do and eat my carbs.
You COULD try a day every week.. monday probably, up everything in your meals for that day.
Say your eating 400 carbs eat 600.
It should shock your body and you'll grow more.

What has worked for me has been a 3 day carb cycle. One day high carb, 2nd day low carb, 3rd day zero carb besides fribrous veggies. Here is a quick overview of the cut I will be starting.

Day 1: High carb: includes 4 out of 6 meals of unlimited comlex carbs except breads, potatos and pasta.

Day 2: Low carb, includes 3 out of 6 meals of unlimited complex carbs

Day 3: Zero carb: no carbs with the exception of fibrous veggies. This has worked well to recomp my body, but not something to live off from. Give it a whirl.

Peace.

severely carb restricted diets do wonders for adding mass.

Carb loading in unison with low carb periods of time can also supercompensate glycogen levels, you'll have above normal levels of glycogen in your body.
