Any Difference between 15mg creatine mono or ethyl ester

I recently figured out I should be increasing my creatine intake due to my bodyweight, 210, rather than the 5mg recommended per day on the bottle. I have creatine ehthyl ester and ran a calculator which showed I should be taking about 15 mg/day. The calculator was based on creatine mono though. Does this make a difference. I know w/ ethyl ester there is no pre-load, but don't know if the improved absorption rate effects the amount you dose. Maybe a dumb question, 15 mg may be 15 mg, but just want to make sure. Thanks for any help.

creatine mono is normally run between 5g-10g, way above the 15mg range. as for CEE i cant remember exactly what the normal dosage is. what does the bottle say? i would think 15mg of CEE wont make a difference because i think the dose is at least 1g but not positive.

I hope you meant grams not mg's. Some people recommend a loading phase with mono and then level off at 5-10 grams a day. CEE is said to need less and not require a loading phase, ymmv. Personally, CEE doesn't seem to really do jack for me. I make my own blend of mono and di-creatine-malate from the bulks at Nutraplanet. Cheap and very effective.

Take your creatine with a nutrient partitioner like AP or P-Slin for added absorbtion or mineral blend like Poseidon if you want even better results.

o.k. I am not awake yet today. Actually meant 15 g/ day.

5 Grams of creatine monohydrate is all you need a day (even at your body weight). Whether CEE is absorbed as readily as Monohydrate is debatable and I personally would stick to Mono. instead of EE. It basically comes down to when you'll reach saturation on CEE since once saturated every creatine is the same.

O.K. so looks like 15 g is not needed. I have been wondering about cee too as I have not noticed much. May check out other versions to see if results are better. I really don't want the bloat. I will do some more research. Thanks everyone.

i believe CEE is dosed at 2 or 3 grams, and usually up to 6g total a day.... i think

You'll get much more dramatic results from mono than EE (most likely, as everyone is different). The gains from CEE tend to be a little drying, but not nearly as pronounced. I usually find the bloat goes away after a week or two, but it is still what I would consider "wet gains".

I personally use mono these days and make sure to take sufficient fast carbs with it.

Start out at 5 grams of mono. daily, don't increase it. Keep the dosage for at least a month or so and I'm willing to bet that you'll get little to no bloat, small (if any) water weight gain, and you'll notice much more in terms of strength and recovery than if you had taken CEE.
