Hey everyone! This is going to be my first log in my quest to change my life. My whole life i have been overweight. Three years ago i weighed in at 315lbs at age 18. Needless to say i was unhealthy and unhappy. Since then i have gotten down to a better 245lbs with the help of P90X.

It is time to try something new. So here goes to giving it all i got. Any comments and criticism is welcome and appreciated. I also figured keeping a log would help with motivation.

My set goal for now is to lose 40lbs by summer.

This is my 1st workout on Monday 1/4/2010.
I will lift on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. With some cardio on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I am starting with light weight because this is new to me and I have a history of knee and elbow injuries.

Day1

Bench Press- 2x warmup sets, 3 sets at 120lbs x 8 reps
Box Squat- 2x warmup sets, 3 sets at 80lbs x 8 reps
Bent Over Row- 2x warmup sets, Set#1- 100x8, Set#2- 100x10, Set#3- 100x10
Military Press- 2x warmup sets, Set#1- 60x8, Set#2- 60x6, Set#3- 60x6
Deadlift- 2x warmup sets, 3 sets at 140lbs x 8 reps

Today would be a cardio day, but i am going to rest. My legs are so sore from squats yesterday, it feels great! I have never done squats before but I already like them. So far so good. I cant wait till tomorrow for the next workout. At the moment I am working out at home. I need to go try out a gym.

you should do the cardio after a couple of min. the soreness in your lags will go away. your legs will feel better after.i do cardio the day after leg day or my legs will be sore for 3 days.
