    Did someone say pizza?. Rosie and I have a plan to have a pizza eating contest when she gets over here. She challenged me so its on like donkey kong. However, I am going to make sure it is Chicago Style pizza...in other words...both of us will have to be rolled out of the restaurant..

    LOL Hey Sean! A pizza eating contest. That would be hilarious to watch. Chicago Style huh, lol you two are going to be miserable, but at least you will have fun with it.

    Not to long now either! What just a few more weeks?!

  8. Arm day!

    Warmed up with 4 sets of 15 dips.

    Then did 4 sets of 35lb plate overhead tricep extensions.

    Then we did 4 sets of 20 bench dips supersetted with 15 pronated dumbell curls 25lb.

    Then we did 30 mountain climbers on the dumbells and stood up and did 10 flat curls for 4 sets.

    Then we did dumbells in a hammer curl up to thigh level then turned to go flat and then brought back down into a hammer position again. We did 15 reps and 4 sets.

    Then we did the hardest thing. We did 4 sets with a barbell we did 6 full range curls, 6 curls off the leg up to hip and then 6 from the chest up to the ear. Those upper and lower half reps provided quite a bit of pump and tension.

    Then we did a single burnout set of 30 rep reverse grip thumb over curls for the forearms.

    We may have done a few other things. I can't remember it all. I took the birthday boy out for a steak dinner in between the gym and home.

  9. Well I learned something this weekend...I'm old!

    I went on the ice with the kids and wow was it a calf and lower back workout. By the 2nd time around my calves were on fire! So maye this is something I should take them to do more often and get in some leg training

    Diet was as I said, cake and pizza. No guilt here either

    Today will be leg day.

    It is so nice when you get a good workout in WHILE doing a fun activity with friends and family!

    Yes it is, I'm going to do my leg training at home tonight. I caught my sisters baby's virus. However I knew he was sick and still could not stop myself from playing with him...lol

    I always enjoy fun things that keep the kids up and moving and happy.

  19. Today was shoulder day...I trained with my daughter but Natalie gave me the workout plan.

    We did 3 sets of 15 pronated d-bell press supersetted with 6 pronated front raises.

    Then we did 3 sets of up-n-backs for 10 reps.

    Then we did 4 sets of 6 rep 90lb machine presses

    3 sets of 15 1/4laterals.

    4 x 10reps of alternating d-bell rows and 4 sets of 80lb rear delt rope pulls.

    Then we did 4 sets of machine crunches at 80lbs and 15 reps.

    3 sets of 15 machine laterals at 30lbs

    Then we did 4 sets of 15 leg presses at 210lbs supersetted with calves for 15 reps same weight.

    A few sets of walking lunges and then 3 sets of 30 rep broomstick twists.

    Obviously my daughter did less weight and occasionally a few less reps.

    Alyssa is 11 yrs old. Its fun teaching her the basics and giving her the skills to choose if its the kind of lifestyle she wants when she is older.     Absolutely! It is great for her- and it will hopefully give you two some time to hang out and have fun together as well.

  26. Well even I get sick of the fitness lifestyle. When it dictates everything you eat and everything you do and the way people view you.

    My stress is at an all time high right now and I'll be honest I have no desire to go to the gym at all. I feel forced into it by my lifestyle and right now all I really want is a break. I'm actually getting weaker on my lifts and sick and with headaches often while lifting. My body is betraying me and my mind just really does not care..

    I know how that is. For me the feeling comes in waves. Last week I felt this way too. Recovery was WAY down, strength was plummeting, everything sucked. Taking just a couple of days of diet break seems to work for me when I feel this way.

    Letting go of everything for a little while would probably be beneficial for you.

  29. LOL well it was chest day, no rest for the wicked!

    We started with machine flyes for 15 reps supersetted with 10 dumbell deadlifts for 4 sets.

    Then we did 10 incline presses at 65lbs with 15 cable flyes at 30lb for 4 sets.

    Then we did incline bench dumbell flyes with 25lb dumbells for 15 reps supersetted with 15 incline bench dragon flags for 4 sets.

    Then I did 35lb dumbell pullovers supersetted with 6 walkout pop push ups.

    I think that was it. I had anger spurring me on so it seemed like a short session to me.

  30. C....take a week off kiddo. Recooperate, eat whatever whenever. Just let it all happen. You'll feel better in no time!

    I understand having no desire to train; bit like that now, when it's the most important time to be doing things right. Except with me the gym is the ONLY training I want to be doing.

    Maybe a week or so off is a good idea, lady. That way you can have time out and refresh your head.

  32. Today was back day and it was horrible. Even Natalie said a week off might be best for me. I was weak from the start and struggled the entire workout, begging for the weight to be lowered and really sick through it. I'm starting to fear that maybe something is wrong with me.

    We started with bent over high cable rows to the chest for 15 reps.

    Then we did low cable rows in a squat position for 15 reps all sets were 4 sets.

    Then we did the machine rows for 10 reps supersetted with 35lb dumbell single arm bent over rows for 10 reps an arm and 4 sets.

    Then we did 10 under the rack pull ups for 4 sets.

    Then we did pull troughs for lower back at 15 reps and 4 sets.

    I can't remember the rest. I was having the room spin, naseau and spotty lights when I stood up. I came home and layed down for an hour before I started to feel better.

    But my muscles feel like jello and I'm exhausted and frustrated.

    i've been doing evening weighted biking we've got a trailer for my bike, and evenings i've been taking dave out for a 20 min or so moderate speed ride

    yeah, he falls asleep most every time. we did it a few times with both him and ronnie in the trailer and went for ice cream. sucks since i didn't get any

  38. I think I just lean up better with some carbs. I added them back in and dropped from 129lb to 126lb. Now I'm still really low on carbs and I'm having salad instead of a sweet potato when we go out. But I just look and feel better on some lower carbs.

    for me the only thing I miss on ultra low carbs is the occasional pineapple, and pbj sandwiches. outside of that, i'm good with no carbs other than from green veggies.

    between me and the kids we can easily eat a whole pineapple in one sitting
