Whey Crisp Recipe of the Day!

    Hey Anabolic Minds,
I am going to use this Thread to post a new recipe for Whey Crisps every day!! Please submit your recipes too!

This recipe might be a good idea for dinner tonight.
    Greek God Chicken Wrap
(ok cheesy name but can't help myself)
    12 oz. grilled chicken
    1/2 cup whey crisps
    1/4 cup red onion
    1/4 cup green pepper
    8 sliced olives
    2 pieces turkey bacon, cooked
2-3 tablespoons reduced fat feta cheese
Place chicken on baking sheet, layer crisps on top of chicken, then vegetables, bacon, top with feta. Bake at 350 until cheese bubbly, about 15 minutes. Let cool. Slice up, and serve in fiber low calorie wrap!

The office pics are a lot of fun, thanks for your comments. But let's get back to the recipes. Let me know what you are making with your Whey Crisps.

    POWER PARM.
    BAKED WHEY CHICKEN PARM.
1/3 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
    1 cup whey crisps ( crushed )
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp dried basil leaves
    1/2 tsp black pepper
12 oz boneless chicken breasts, pounded thin
    1 egg white, beaten
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/2 cup diced onion
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 1/2 cups tomatoes puree
1/8 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Preheat oven to 425 F. Spray an 8" square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Combine bread crumbs, whey crisps and 1/4 tsp each of salt, oregano, basil and black pepper.

Dip each chicken breast into egg white, then into whey and crumb mix.

In large non-stick skillet, heat oil; add coated chicken breasts. Cook over medium-high heat, 1 minute each side, until lightly browned; transfer to baking pan. Add onion to skillet; cook, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Stir in garlic; cook one minute longer. Stir in tomatoes puree and crushed red pepper; bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally. Stir in remaining each of salt, oregano, basil and black pepper.

Pour tomatoes mixture over chicken over chicken sprinkle with low fat cheese. Bake 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. Garnish with fresh basil.

The Banana bread is very good. It stayed pretty moist throughout the whole day. You would have to package it pretty tight to keep it that way for more than a day or two....

I am no cook but someone should master Whey-Crispy Treats (as opposed to Rice Krispy) and give us the recipe. I am going to play with the following.

Add the Whey Crisps + melted Marshmellows, a little melted butter, eggs, vanilla, salt, glucommanon starch (zero calories or carbs or fat!). I'm also gonna try with I-Cant-Believe-it's-not-butter - why not! Stir in big pot over stove, place on cookie tray and allow to set.

*****Im a low-carber so see recipe below made of sugarfree marshmallows fora HI carb, lowfat, low surgar, low carb recipe):

Found two recipes for SUGAR FREE (low cal) marshmallows:

    Ingredients
    3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
    5 tablespoons Splenda sugar substitute
    3 egg whites
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    1/4 cup cold water
    3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 teaspoon marshmallow flavored oil (optional)

    Instructions
    Things You'll Need:
1 cup Agave Syrup or Maple Syrup
    2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    6 tablespoons cold water
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    flour or cornstarch
    9x12 pyrex dish
    Step 1
Add gelatin to water and microwave for 30 seconds on high.
    ______________________________ _______________________

    Step 2
Add syrup, vanilla and salt. Using Agave syrup adds the sweetness, but these marshmallows are still sugar free.

    Step 3
Beat with an electric mixer for 12 minutes until the marshmallows are very thick and tripled in size.

    Step 4
Pour marshmallows into a 9x12 inch pyrex dish coated in cooking spray and dusted with flour or corn starch. Let marshmallows cool for at least three hours, or overnight. Cut marshmallows with a wet knife into squares.

Awesome, thanks for the recipe. Let me know how it comes out, post a picture too. Email it to me at dena@wheycrisps.com and I will add it to our site. We do have a recipe for rice krispie treats on our site www.wheycrisps.com, maybe you can work with that to modify it some more.....

    2. Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together and set aside.
    3. Melt the chocolate and then allow it to cool slightly. Be careful to not allow it to harden.
    4. Beat the butter and sugar for two minutes. Add the eggs and beat for an additional two minutes. Beat in the vanilla and cooled chocolate.
    5. Gradually stir in the sifted flour mixture in approximate thirds, alternating each time with 1/4 cup of the sour cream, adding whey crisps at end.
    6. Stir in the boiling water. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
    7. Bake for 23 minutes. Do not overbake this cake! Allow the cake to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
    Notes:
    • If serving this cake to guests, for the ultimate decadence and best presentation, top it with a chocolate frosting of choice.
