How much should I lose

  1. How much should I lose


    I would like to get to 8% this year... Diet is solid/routine, but Genetics may prevent me from losing as much fat per lb as i would like.. I am 191.4 @ 13.2% Bodyfat as of yesterday. 5'11. How Much weight do I need to lose to get to 8%.. What weight should i just say fudge it and start bulking again?


  2. If you lost 11 lbs of nothing but fat, you would be at 8%.

    Basically, at 191.4 lbs and 13.2% BF, you have 25.26 lbs of fat.

    Therefore 166.14 lbs of lean.

    If you still had 166.14 lbs of lean after dieting, then you would be at 8% when you reach 180.58 lbs. (assuming no muscle loss)


    Of course, I tend to say 'fudge it' whenever I get to around 10.5% body fat. It's hard for me to get under that point, and I think I look good at that point. :-)

    166.1100 Lean mass at 194.6 - 14.6% bodyfat
    166.0575 Lean mass at 191.4 - 13.2% bodyfat
    166.9217 Lean mass at 189.8 - 12.1% bodyfat .8652 lb Lean mass gained!
    165.8050 Lean mass at 187.4 - 11.6% bodyfat

    170.7420 Lean mass at 199.0 - 14.2% bodyfat [Cutting next week] 07/09/08
    169.5400 Lean mass at 191.4 - 11.5% bodyfat lost a whole LB :\
    168.4539 Lean mass at 188.0 - 10.5% bodyfat 08/31/08

    11 lb lost - 2.2881 Lb Lean mass Lost total = 8.7119 lb Fat lost so far.

    79% Fat loss
