  1. What's a "refeed" ?


    I've heard it mentioned a few times, and was just curious about what it is; thanks.


  2. It's something you do on a ketogenic diet. You eat high amounts of carbohydrates for a day or two to replenish glycogen stores depleted from the keto diet.

  5. When do you or are you supposed to refeed? I know that the diet is usually M - F and the weekend (36 hours) is for carb-ups, but I've heard people mentioning a refeed in the middle of the week or so. Is this necessary or how do you know when this is necessary? Do you become more sluggish, etc?

  6. The mid-week refeed is generally for people who are already in the low body fat ranges where fat loss and muscle sparing becomes increasingly difficult.

  7. Yep and just so you know the reccomended duration for a refeed is between 6 and 8 hours not 2 days.
