You may want to ask yourself if you may need a cortisol controller. After years of wasting money on different supps trying to get the last few pounds of stubborn fat off my abs, turns out I needed to control the cortisol and I have never been this ripped since I was a broke college student living on Optimum 100% Whey and deli chicken meat!!

Anyhow...

That may not be the answer, but it's something to consider. Search the forums about cortisol control. Personally Lean Xtreme was the first supp that I noticed results with, since then I have tried Blaze and now X-Lean is my favorite.

BUT...

Like I said, that's just an idea...perhaps if you shared with us your average diet and exercise regimen we could have a better ides what else may be the cause. Personally I can get pretty ripped w/just diet and exercise, I only need the cortisol controlling supplements to take off the final bit of fat.

Good luck!

When you have gotten to this point where you doing any type of dialed in diet regimen or were you the average college student (when I say average college student just enjoying yourself, no bad connotation.) I ask because if you still not fat and you've had a questionable diet than your primed and ready to go to loose fat and such without help from supplements. If your body can handle college life and still be pretty lean if you dial in your diet/exercise you'll have no problem shredding the fat.

And on your question on is there anything you should do to get rid of the fat on just your belly.. there is nothing, your can't really spot target fat loss, your body will take fat it has on it (specifically starting form the outside in {arms and legs for example first}.)

thanks for the replys guys.

OCC thats a good point. I guess I have a pretty good metabolism since I have been eating like crap and drinking beer, and I still only have a little beer belly, but for the most part am still pretty lean.

So do you guys recommend any cardio or just clean the diet up????

Do cardio before you eat in the morning, it's the quickest way to shed pounds. By doing this you don't have to spend the first 20 minutes of cardio burning away glycogen (it gets burned as you sleep), it goes more directly to burning fat. Have 1/2 a scoop of protien but no carbs before you run.

Also, my understanding is you're body stores fat at your gut because of your Alpha fat receptors. There are products that conteract this to some extent (Yohimbine for example, which will also help burn fat in general). Methusula also mentioned cortisol control. Good suggestion. Cortisol seems to break down muscle to be stored as fat specifically at your belly.

Oh, and a clean diet of course. Try cutting carbs out later in the day, in addition to generally eating well.

Alcohol also increases visceral fat (the stuff underneath the organs). Topicals with 7-OH or 7-Keto help to reduce this.

Ahh let me guess are you an ecto as well? Ecto's commonly have the sugar belly. This is supposedly why they respond better to cortisol reducers.

yea, I am ecto and I generally have always had an athletic body from playing college baseball, but I think all the beer has started to take its toll on my midsection.

I am interested in the 7-OH and 7-keto topicals. anybody have success with these?

And I have some retain left from a cycle a while back should I give that a whirl...?

TYhanks a lot for all the replies so far

The beer belly is caused by estrogen increasing from the hops in beer. Try a natural AI like Resveratrol.

All you need to know. As long as you don't have a negative energy balance you won't be losing anything.

Make up a meal plan and be realistic. If you are going to a few beers per night on the weekend then factor them in!

Supplements will do sweet FA if you don't have the basics down.

Cheers

I'm an ecto but to get rid of the last couple pounds off of the stomach is extremely difficult. I've lifted some impressive poundage for my size but never had the 6-pack . . . until recently -- and here's what did it -- even for a 'skinny' ecto its takes:
1 good diet
2 good diet
3 good diet. Yes -- it's that important. You need to ensure you're eating minimum 6 small meals per day (I'm eating 7). You need to make sure you're at a calorie deficit without sacrificing the protein. In my case I'm eating about 1700 calories which includes 200g of protein per day.

Working out on an empty stomach in the morning will raise cortisol. Yohimbine can cause adrenal fatigue very quickly. I would go with Acytl-L-Carnitine/Resveratrol and try to avoid getting sucked into the stimulant black hole with things like caffeine/Yohimbine/Clen/Ephedra.....just my 2 cents
