    Trying to cut...Improvements to diet??


    Ok most important im 5'8" 185 lbs. I work out 5 days a week and im trying to cut down to about 175 and tighten up.
    My diet is as follows:
    Breakfast: One scoop ON 100% Gold Standard (CHOC)
    1 cup Skim Milk
    1/2 cup oats (This is a staple every mornin)
    Post W/O: Protein Shake:1 scoop ON Gold Standard (CHOC)
    2 tbspn Natty PB
    1 cup skim milk
    1 banana
    I blend all this and also have a can of Tuna
    2 - 3 Hours Later -
    1 sweet potatoe w/ 1/2 cup of cottage cheese on top
    1 piece of grilled chicken breast
    2 -3 hours Later - 1 cup Lima beans
    1 piece of grilled chicken breast
    8 strawberries
    2- 3 Hours Later - 1/2 cup brown rice
    1/2 cup black beans
    3/4 cup Eggbeaters Southwestern
    Usually snack on a banana, about 1/4 cup almonds, and a Pure Protein Bar when im in a pinch at work and my stomach starts moanin. This Usually amounts to between 2200 - 2500 cals.

    Aside from sticking in some weight loss stims i think you've covered it pretty well there m8

    Yea good point my supps are:
    ADAMS NOW MULTI - 1 in morn, 1 in afternoon
    LEVIATHAN - 2 pills twice a day
    RPM - 4 before workout
    OMEGA 3s - 2 in morn, 2 at night

    Make sure you get in some cardio and maybe add some fish filets or fish oil if you can tolerate fish. Green tea caps maybe or an appetite suppressant.

    Looks like your diet is pretty much on par. I agree with the contest..$200 never hurts

    yea im takin NOW OMega 3 fish oil - 4 grams a day..along with 5oz of either tuna or salmon so i think im getting enough EFA's..How many cals would u recommend me taking in a day given my current height, weight, and activity (Lift 5 days a week)? When I calculate it using the BMI formula i get like 2,350 cals per day.

    unless your doing interval sprints (my fav)or some cardio with it ...diet alone is not the answer......what are you doing for cardio????

    Try taking in more fish oil. Maybe 20-30g a day. When I cut down, I like to go as high as 40 mg a day.

    I usually run outside in the morn. on weekends when im off about 2 miles in 16 - 17mins. I missed a week tho. Def. agree diet and cardio most imp. for fat loss. I worry about catabolism as I dont supplement with BCAA's tho..

    wait u mean 40 grams right..??I'd have to take 20 pills to get that!! (not counting actual fish in my diet)..what fish oil do u supp with?

    You would also have to factor in the extra 40x9=360 calories that you get from it.

    You can pick up bottles from half pint to quart size at lots of health food stores, even some grocery stores. one tablespoon is 15g if I recall right
