    Is losing a average of

5 pounds per month too unrealistic? Im trying to set goals for the offseason, Im a avid softball player and the offseason is about 9 months. I am 255 pounds but would like to get down to 210. Is 5 pounds per month too high to shoot for?

Not at all depending on your body composition. A 1-1.5 pound loss per week is actually the ideal, healthy way to go about it.

I agree with this. Try not to starve yourself either... we want to lose fat, not muscle!
