How to keep oil from getting rancid ?
How to keep oil from getting rancid ?
When buying, buy only fresh: It must stay frozen or in the fridge of The
Health food shop. If kept outside fridge, it rapidly turn rancid.
Educate people in the Health food shop, if they are not keeping it
frozen or in the fridge.
Frozen oil can keep fresh for years. It freezes on ~-7degree Celsius.
When using at home, close the bottle after use and put it back in the
freezer. Like that it can keep 2-3 weeks , and still taste good.
If rancid, use it for painting and preserving wood or threw it, don't
eat it.
Fresh flaxseed oil can cure or help curing cancer.
Rancid flaxseed oil contain carcinogens. (You can get cancer if eating
rancid flaxseed oil)
Buy always small bottle, rather then big. You will use up small bottle
faster then big.
Once opened, air comes inside the bottle, and oxidation starts.
If you don't use it up within 2 -3 weeks, it is rancid.

... I'll agree, as will most people here, that it's definitely a good idea to keep your flax cold... put please show me/us where you found information stating that fresh oil "cures cancer", and then once rancid, "causes it"
?
if I've learned anything here, you gotta at least give some sort of vague description of which ass you're pullin your info-turdlets from (study databases, article of some kind, which mag, etc)... some turds just need to be flushed, but we DO need citations every time

So, if this is true my flax is super rancid, but it has the same "bad" taste as day one. It's more than 3 weeks old, was not cold at the store, and is in my fridge, not freezer. Oh well.
