| Registered User | Chicken Breasts Ok...me and my mother went out to get some chicken breasts. I wanted to buy a bag of boneless, skinless chicken breasts. But, my mother said it was too expensive so she said to buy just a pack of fryer chicken breasts with bone and skin. I told her that it would have different nutritional values even if we took out the bone and skin but she disagreed. Is she right? Is there some way where I can find the amount of calories, protein, and carbs in this chicken without having to buy a bag with the nutrition label on it? |

| Registered User | my understanding has always been that 1oz of lean turkey or chicken is about 5 or 6 grams of protein, and an oz would roughly be the size of a golfball. so theres one way to check out NV |

| Registered User | You should find the nutritional breakdown for it here: http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin...rch.pl?chicken |

| Registered User | The macronutrient breakdown is going to be the same if you peel the skin off. If you don't, I believe the skin adds some extra fat and a little bit of protein... |

| Registered User | Just go to: http://www.calorieking.com/ You can search ANY food for a complete breakdown on it with or without additives, etc. And, they also show you the breakdown for such foods cooked and sold at restaurants. Hope this helps. ![]() |

| FREAK | You could also buy a "Food Counts" book. It has every type of food in there. Peace Bone |
