every 30 minutes is a little excessive. But every two hours will do the trick. Starving yourself willl only be counter-productive.

eating every 2-4 hours is the ideal. You're body will get accustomed to this schedule after a while, and you're stomach will only rumble when you need to eat;D

ooh good point. Hey, you know how a person's body adapts to workouts if you do it all the time... can the same said about eating. where you can lose weight by eating every few hours and then one day you'll stop losing the weight?

Eating every few hours helps keep your metabolism elevated, which result in burning a greater number of calories at rest, in addition to keeping adequate nutrients flowing to your muscles.
Yes, your body will adapt to the caloric defecit and weight loss will slow down or ever stop, and just like training you need to do things to 'shock' your system into burning fat again. This can be using dietary techniques like carb cycling, CKD, or even clean bulking for a week or two. (or a combination off all those over time, ideally)
