Ha, well im 6'4 175. I just dont like eating fatty things, i dont think they taste all that great. And Im getting enough calories and 300g protein and 200+ carbs. But what are the benefits, and why do you need to eat say around 60 g of fat a day? I only have 1-3g of saturated fat a day, the rest is all good.

From what you initially posted it appeared that your calorie range was 1680-2075. Which in most cases is inappropriate even for the Fat Loss section.
Now that you have posted your height & weight I think it is even more inappropriate. Unless of course you are bed bound and typing this with a pencil in your teeth.

up it, man. Flax oil 1T/day, nuts. You need the good fats just like other nutrients for health (and especially if you wanna grow!)

I'd say 65g/day minimum but thjat's me. Some say 50, some do 100; depends. You do need the good stuff, though!

bpmartyr loves the taste of nuts hehe. (sorry couldn't resist)
On topic- Coconut oil is great as well. Throw in a blender with protein shake or even cook with it. And as mentioned, nuts are tasty. I love walnuts in my oatmeal.

i know where you are coming from. i used to be like that also. i still get like that during my pre contest contest diet. keep in mind that a lot of vitamins are fat soluble and will not transport if there is no fat. even saturated fats are important. they support test levels nicely. whole eggs are another great fat source in addition to those mentioned above.

Okay thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to up the fats, going to add nuts to two of my meals for about 20g of fat and then some olive oil on my chicken. Thanks again.

If I may ask, why are you cutting? I don't know your body composition, but it sounds like at 6'4"-175 lbs., you may be hindering your growth by cutting/keeping your fat & carbs so low. Then again, I guess it's all about what what you want.
Me personally, I wouldn't drop fat intake below 20-25%, and make the majority monounsaturated and polyunsaturated, and continue to keep the saturated fat low.
Dropping overall fat intake too low is said to lower endogenous testosterone production. Plus many of the "good" fatty acids may help you mentally/cognitively, as well as to burn fat.

Thinking the same thing. Some people reduce their fat intake when bulking because it lowers their satiety and most people increase it when cutting (while reducing their carbs) so they feel like they've actually eaten something...

I would up your fat with flax or olive oil. Take it up to 40-45g or so and you should be good to go.

Just for Spring Break, and then right after that I'm going to go on a big bulk. I have been eating at my daily maintanence calorie level or 300 below for about 2-3 weeks and weight lifting 5 times a week: Mon-chest,bis,tris Tue:Cardio Wed: Lower body Thurs: back/shoulders Fri:chest,bis,tris Sat:lower body Cardio Sun:Cardio
I know I should be bulking but my strengh is increasing every week--every week i've gone up about 10-15 lbs in squats. And I just want to be as lean as possible for spring break, after that I will eat like there is no tommorow.
Thanks for the fat advice here is my daily diet stats (this is a low carb day for me and very high in protein)
Cals=2500 Fat: 37g (15%), Carbs: 151g, 41 fiber (19%)-much lower than usual...Protein:373g (66%)
