please critique my cutting diet

  1. please critique my cutting diet

I'm designing a new cutting diet for myself, approximately 25%c/55%p/15%f. I work out in the morning, so "meal 0" is my pre-workout and "meal 1" is post.

Up until now I've been doing CKD, but I want to flip over to a new diet to mix things up for a while.

I'm 6'0", 165 lbs, ~10%bf (gotta get down low enough to lose the last of the belly fat!). My lifting is similar to MAX-OT, and I do HIIT 4 days a week as well. I'm planning on running clen/ketotifen at the same time.

(Sorry if the presentation seems a little weird; I was pretty lazy when I wrote the "report generation" parts of my diet database software...)

    • Meal 0
      • ProComplex APS powder, 1 scoop x 1
        dextrose, 10 g x 1
        BCAAs, 4.8g x 1
        honey, 1 tbsp x 1
        Meal 0 Totals: 28.500c / 32.300p / 1.000f / 252.200cal

      Meal 1
      • ProComplex APS powder, 1 scoop x 1
        oatmeal, 1/4 cup x 1
        banana, 50 g x 2
        Meal 1 Totals: 26.800c / 30.800p / 2.700f / 254.700cal

      Meal 2
      • oatmeal, 1/4 cup x 3
8th Continent light original soy milk, 1 cup x 1
        Meal 2 Totals: 36.500c / 14.500p / 6.000f / 258.000cal

      Meal 4
      • Honey Boy pink salmon, 5 oz x 1
        broccoli, 88 g x 2
cottage cheese, low fat, 1/4 cup x 1
        Meal 4 Totals: 9.000c / 48.000p / 6.600f / 287.400cal

      Meal 5
      • StarKist select tuna, 5 oz x 1
cottage cheese, low fat, 1/4 cup x 1
        asparagus, 100 g x 3
        Meal 5 Totals: 7.598c / 46.992p / 3.947f / 253.883cal

      Meal 6
      • Hormel chunk chicken, 5 oz x 1
cottage cheese, low fat, 1/4 cup x 1
        celery, 110 g x 2
        flax oil, 1 tsp x 1
        Meal 6 Totals: 8.000c / 32.500p / 11.917f / 269.250cal

      Daily Total: 120.898c / 246.392p / 35.864f / 1791.933cal

  2. i dunno bro. at 6'0, 165lbs you might want to consider throwing some weight on before considering a cutting cycle. if you have any pics, put em up. but from what i've read so far, bulking might be a better idea. JMO.

I agree with Beelzebub, if it means anything!

  4. You're not eating enough carbs for HIIT cardio IMO. I would also advise against the HIIT cardio, but that's a separate issue.

Fair enough. The problem is, at the moment I'm also training for a marathon in July. I don't want to be carrying any more weight than I have to.

As soon as I'm done with that marathon, I'm going to bulk. I figure I may as well use the intervening time to get myself as lean as possible.

  6. Training for a marathon eh? Haven't you cycled before? I would have a hard time going so far backwards like that....

Maybe this'll teach me to keep my big mouth shut and not volunteer to head the company team next year
