I have been told by my physiology prof that these are a waste of money.
What do you guys think?

I love em...when I have indigestion or bloating I take either a multi or just papain...it rocks.Originally Posted by PHWSSJ

I just wanted to know what people who have used them thought.
Thanks.
Any one else?
The acid of the stomach is pretty good at denaturing any proteins it comes in contact with. Digestive enzymes which are proteinacious (I love that word) would probably not survive the stomach in any significant quantity.
One thing I notice with them is I get hungrier sooner if I take them, but maybe it's all in my mind.
if something doesn't sit good in your stomach then try another combination of foods as that one probably isn't good for YOU.
it won't take long to put a good eating plan together & experimenting can be fun![]()
i've used digestive enzymes before & i really can't justify the money-results ratio to take them regularly.
i found pineapple was good if i had any digestion problems. ginger (raw or capsules) is also good & i've also heard grapefruit.

I use a multi (Gestazyme) whenever I am eating a lot (bulking) because I get bloated and have a hard time digesting tons of food. My GF also has used these. We both like them. It takes away the gut ache and bloat (if it is from eating).
I used them on my latest bulk - I thought they worked really well. Brand was Now 'Super Enzymes'.
Digestive enzymes are by nature designed to resist the acidic environment of the stomach. They wouldn't work to well if they weren't.Originally Posted by exnihilo
