    Biggest loser!

My work is doing a biggest loser contest with top prize of $2000. I'm currently 330 with a LBM of 201. The contest runs for 10 weeks I'm looking to shed 100 pounds in 10 weeks that will mean bringing my calories down to At least 800 a day. What I'm asking, what is the best way to get the vitamins and minerals I need to stay healthy. Help me out folks!

100 lbs. in 2 1/2 months? No way dude. Not safely, and I don't even know anyway that's possible. You'll have KRAZY skin after that extreme weight loss.
Shoot for something reasonable like 40lbs. and maybe try Atkins or Keto diet with NO sugar. Take out sugar totally and lower your carbs, you'll lose weight. And energy. But if you want it, you'll push through.
What kind of activity do you do now?

I lift heavy 4 days a week. Cardio 4 days. My maintenance calorie daily is 3300. I lost 139 pounds last year over 9 months. I know it's not "safe" or good to drop that fast but I'm taking my three kids to Disney world in September and that money sure would help. I'm gonna go light and up my reps on the weights and probably keep my cardio around where it is unless I'm not losing like I want. I think supplement and vitamin company's are complete liars. I'm just looking to minimize muscle loss and keep my chemistry as stable as possible.

I have never really "watched" that show, but I have seen it. I don't think they do that in 2 1/2 months do they? I thought that was like a certain time at the ranch, then you go home and continue, then come back for wiegh in?

Well congrats on the 139 so far, keep it up!!! If it was me, I would try the diets I suggested, set a lower target goal, and lower your wieghts/up the reps, and try some HIIT cardio. That is my opionion. As far as vitamens and supplements, maybe try a meal replacement protien shake. But your right, don't get caught up in all the hype. YOu can do better with real food.
    Good luck dude!!

My Opinion: Going light weight/high reps on your lifting will do the opposite of what you want, while calorie deficient will weaken you, keep doing heavier w/o's just lower the weight as needed based on your diet. Heavy lifting will burn more calories longer! I would increase your dosage on multi, bcaa and C, and do cardio more like 6 days a week. Lifting I would keep as heavy as possible but try to base everything off compound movements, big 3, cleans, etc. Your metabolism is probably in the dirt so snack all day, 8-10 100 cal meals vs 3 300 cal meals will help keep you burning everything you eat and it's easier to stave off hunger pains with something going in every hour or 2. Good luck and keep us posted

Step one: Clean your diet, no way in hell you got to your weight eating chicken brown rices fruits and veggies.
Step two: add cardio low intensity to start and build up
Step three: lift weights 4-6 days a week
Step four: once you have done this for some time you can start looking into extra goodies to help the process

At your weight you should be running around 2000 calories a day minimum but if you eat clean you will loss weight.

    Carbs:
    Brown rice
    Sweet potatoes
    Oatmeal

    Protein:
    Lean beef
    Chicken
    Turkey
    Lean Pork
    Fish
    Game meats
    Eggs

    Fats:
    Avocados
    Nuts
    Beans
    Olive oil
    Nut butters
    Fish oil

Veggies and fruits as long as they have no sugar added are fair game.

You are going to want to stick to low carbs moderate protein and fat, lots of water and low to no calorie drinks (AKA no soda or juice).

No real way to loose that much weight and stay healthy.

I guess if your dead set on it I'd eat 1000 cals minimum on a NO carb diet and maybe do intermittent fasting similar to lean gains. Maybe stack Oxyelite pro, Erase, and Alpha-T2 to help out. The diet will be the most important part obviously. Then take a multivitamin every day and your fish oil. Don't touch sugars or fruits and eat what Gerbil posted above minus the carbs. Stick to lean meats and green veggies.

Lift weights 5 days a week doing lots of compound movements that will really tax your body and make you break a sweat. Perform cardio 7 days a week for 30mins at a time mixing it every other day between low intensity and high intensity. Stair stepper is probably your best bet to really burn some calories.

Try and get as much sleep as you can. The more you sleep the less you eat.

Drink 2 gallons of water every single day.

If at any point you start to feel weird go to a doctor.

None of what I just wrote is good advice. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. If $2k means that much to you go for it.

I know a lot of people who don't like to use fruit because of the natural sugar, but me I eat fruit. It's natures candy.

think weight. THINK MONEY. just get some thermogenic, run for at least 1hr 4 days a week, lift heavy, and cut your calories to no less than 1200. low carbs. if you're trying to retain muscle and loose 100lbs forget it. that will take a year at least. just go for muscle/fat/water loss and get them money.

    true story

Great so far. I'm looking to get to 300 by the time the actual contest starts on the 18th. By then I'll have it dialed in. By the looks of it I don't think I'll have to drop my calories as low as I had first thought.
