  1. I need a new cardio type machine!!! What's "new"?


    After YEARS of compiling machiones at the house along with the wife who is a fitness nut, we have a bike, eliiptical and treadmill.

    Need something NEW as we are bored with these.

    Anything new/different out there?

    We are cardio fanatics so we abuse our cardio equipment.

  3. Haha no and I live in BLIZZARD LAND anyway.

    It's bitter cold here 9 months out of the year

    We are inside cardio people. We also both hate running (outside) as we both have brutally bad shin splints.

    Inside cardio only is what we are looking for also due to time constraints related to work. it is EASY for us to hop on the machine at 5am and get in the shower and head to work.

  6. Try a rowing machine, great on joints an a good workout

  7. Two suggestions for indoor stationary machines: A rowing erg or an air dyne

    We use the air dyne for low-impact conditioning intervals with our team-athletes at school.

    Otherwise, go to an empty parking lot and push your car for some intervals.

I stopped using "gym equipment"for two weeks now use my stepper once in awhile but anyway its more for training but im getting awesome workouts with my free standing heavybag i train with it every mon,wed,fri,for 35min and on sat for 1.5hrs my heart rate gets higher then any machine and im having fun doing it my avg h/r is 80-90 the whole time.3min on 45sec rest works for me.If you get one you must get hand wrap and gloves!trust me you'll be glad you did.

  11. Revolving staircase. Not a stepper but the revolving type. Very challenging, awesome for the legs and you sweat your ass off. I started using one at the local gym and use nothing but.
    I will sleep with you AND your pet for 50 bucks!

    Mowing your lawn is also a great exercise.
    I mowed my lawn twice in a month. I found it very effective exercise as it increases my stamina

    Agree with this. A C2 rower will destroy you. And intervals on an Airdyne is awesome. Also if you have the scratch then maybe a VersaClimber.

  19. the newest machine is on the direct tv commercial, you hook it up to yourself, then hook it up to someone doing cardio and you get the results, mini giraffe sold seperate

  20. Take a look at the X-iser. At first glance, it looks like a stepper, but it will give you a great burst-type workout.
