Ive been cutting for roughly a month and am finally starting to get my abs back (went on a dirty ass bulk and put on like 7kg in 4 weeks) and starting to notice that my muscles are getting softer?! Im still lifting as heavy if not even more for some exercises, so im just wondering.... what the hell?

Its probably due to your diet. They are not getting softer, just fat is depositing around them, making then feel soft.

What do you mean by due to my diet, not enough protein?

You stated you went on a "dirty ass bulk". You probably put on some fat, do to your bulking diet.

Muscles do not get "softer" - they can appear to be not as pronounced, defined, or pumped if you decrease your resistance training, lift lighter weights, change nutritional practices, or gain bodyfat.

nah man ignore them I get this too, its from the glycogen depletion.

Also, in one of lyle macdonald's articles he explains how fat gets more "watery" during fat-loss. google it and you find it

Not to be an ass, but ignore Rosie and lonewolf, and take your advice? C'mon man!

Get your diet back in check, and make sure your routine is spot on; then you'll be fine. Or just take some Viagra, should get ya hard again. :sigh1:

Are you drinking a lot of protein shakes? I've noticed that if I consume to many protein shakes, in place of food, that my muscles aren't as full and dense, as they would be if fueled by regular whole food. Protein shakes are great for a quick fix, but they are severely lacking in the nutritional department, and as such no substitute for the dense nutritional properties of quality food. Not sure if this is applicable to you, but I'd figured I'd throw it out there.
