Low Carbs

Geez some of my buddies wont believe me that low-carbing is the best way to drop fat while keeping muscle. Could anyone supply me with research studies or links? They heard ketones are dangerous and they keep telling me that performances in gym would suffer greatly from a TKD diet and they never tried it

Doc,

the reason why everyone can't understand it is that they've all been brain washed with the low-fat craze.

i started preaching it a couple of years ago while doing a CKD & everyone thought i was nuts until they saw how good my abs started coming in while eating all this "fat"

right now i do 3 low-carb days followed up on the fourth day with a whole day of high glycemic carbs (lollies, sugary cereals, chocolate, white bread etc.)

i had some stuff saved so i'll try & find it. in the meantime look up Mercola or Lyle McDonald ketogenic diet at Google & that should get you started.

BEST way? spare me. i know even lyle (who i have corresponded with) does not make that claim.

it is a useful way, and it works for many trainees. it is not THE BEST way, for all trainees all the time.

it is a useful method for fat loss

I've lost 180+ lbs while gaing considerable muscle mass and strength while going LC over the past 2+ years, so you're preaching to the choir on this one
