Work 12hrs a Day! When Do I Work Out?

    Hi people!
I'm a rep at a Pest Control office and work Mon-Fri, 10-12hrs a day. I can't seem to find the energy when I get home to jog or lift ANYTHING! In the morning, it's just as tough.

I gained back 10lbs since I started this job and some of it is my fault. My dumbass started back on soda and sweets

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

Definitely work you your diet that sounds like the primary reason you gain 10lbs

Try to make time for a jog, it does not have to be a long job, start with a mile then move up from there, try to jog every other day w/o excuses, trust me you feel much better after you get in the habit.

The best time to train, IMO would be BEFORE you go to work - you're just going to have to get yourself up and do it if you really want to. Trust me - some of us also work exceptionally long hours (on top of other things) - if you REALLY want to train, you'll find or MAKE time to do it. Learn how to train efficiently - you don't need to do hours for it to be effective for your goals and needs.

The others had some great advice. I would add it comes down to time management, sit down and write out your day, in your free time prioritize what's important to you, and make sure you do it. If you get on a routine it will become easier.

Use your days off (weekend) to get work done in the gym. Then try to find a few mornings to train, before work.

If you make training a priority, and get a little creative, I'm sure you can find the time. Good luck!

i do catering and often have 10-14 hour days, so i workout when i can. Ive actually got up extra early and lift before i work, actually makes me more productive on those days. Even if u can only get in some quick workout, its better than nothing. It took a while but now i get 4 solid workouts in a week no matter what, and usually 2 more days of just some cardio and sauna time on top of those. Best of luck

I was working 7/12's for two months straight. What I did was workout every other day and would only be at the gym for 30 min tops...it was tough but I just kept a tight schedule

I was like you a few weeks ago when my son was born. it was no more gym time which was around 0900-1000, plus full time shift job. no around that time I got to help the wife with the baby. best time for me is between 0630-0700. baby and wife still sleeping... you just got to kick off first gear and it will be Like clock work.

IMO after work works out the best for me for 12-13 hour days. Like right now im deployed and working night shift and I definitely have a my days when i have no motivation whatsoever. Those days i just rely on my preworkout to get me motivated and it does. just pick a time that works for you to workout and plan your preworkout accordingly. i will say however, if you do this there isnt much time for sleep. I avg about 4-5 hours a night which is not at all enough time to sleep and another problem would be getting less sleep because you'd be all jacked up from your preworkout and workout. Preworkouts dont have a adverse effect on my ability to sleep.
On the other hand when im home i work nights(2200-0700/0800)and i work out before work because if i need to get anything done i need to work out before everthing closes. And this works well in that situation. I also go by the motto if you wanna train you will make the time just like some of these other people say, so i do just exacly that and that definitely helps out. Im letting you know what works for me, i hope something works out for ya.
