I know that free T3 is the more active form of thyroid hormone, while T4 needs to be converted to T3 for raising metabolism.

I know that most patients do not feel that T4 alleviates their symptoms of hypothyroidism, in fact, some say they feel worse and gain fat while on it.

I know that T3 works well amongst bodybuilders for fat loss.


My question is:

Is it better to go on T3 alone or use a T3 T4 combo

Specifically, if I want to use 50mcg of T3, would I see further benefits to adding another 200mcg of T4 as well or would that be simply a waste of money
