I was recently prescribed Prestiq, an SNRI for mild depression that runs in my family. I've tried a bunch in the past with no effect including MAOI's. My question is since SNRI's inhibit the reuptake of norepinephrine, wouldn't that have a fat burning effect or be good for weight loss. I know one of the most common side effects is loss of appetite and A LOT of people have lost up to 15 pounds in the first month. I'm wondering if it's from the increased NE in the brain or just from loss of appetite. So many thermo supps out there claim to increase NE levels as a fat burning benefit. Would it be wise to take an anti cort supp with it? Thanks in advance
