    What is a good low carb diet?


    Anyone care to help me with this...im not looking for a keto diet...just a good low carb diet

    great im going to look over that...another question...is a low carb diet the way to go when loosing weight and trying to retain muscle? it seems like alot of people use a low carb diet with ridiculous amounts of protien to do so...

    It usually is a dieting method that allows for maximal muscle retention, but you wouldn't want the protein intake too high or your body will not be able to get to ketosis, and being the real weight loss.

    Body Opus says at least 1.5 g fat/1g pro. At 100 g protein and 150g fat, you're already around 1800kcal. I've always done CKD a little different, still with good results but ketosis does take longer the higher the protein to fat ratio is and too much protein will probably result in gluconeogenesis. All the pain of no carbs with minimal return.
