time to fast

Ive gone 2 days with 70% fat and 30% protien and 30 min cardio on each day but over cal maintnance to get all this fat and try to get adapted to fats instead of carbs and now im going to do a 24hour fast. Is this safe and long enough or unsafe and to long?

Get plenty of water...and BCAA's if you can (no calories)

it really just depends on the dosage. the pills usually only are a few grams...while xtend for example is like 11 grams per serving.

you reccomend extend or does it matter?
Do you think i could just take more of the pills than?

BCAAs have calories.. same as protein, 4cal/g.

BCAA's are broken down parts of protein...In order to derive calories from it, the body must be able to break it down. Since they are already broken down, the body is not deriving calories from it...even if it is they are miniscule amounts

The body breaks down protein into amino acids, the amino acids are then altered and used for energy.. So YES, amino acids contain calories.

But how many are we talking? Its not even enough to count.

Well, considering protein contains 4 cals/gram, and amino acids are the energy containing components of protein, I'd venture to say it's quite close to 4 per gram.

5 grams of bcaas has 20 calories. same as protein.
