When do you think is the most effective time for cardio? These are my choices for when I can get my cardio in.

In the morning fasted.

After my workout. (this would require me to run in boots, I workout in uniform)

Right before bed.

I perfer after my workout, but since you'd be doing it in boots I'd opt for the morning cardio. Just get some BCAA's for pre-during the cardio.

Early morning, high intensity NON-fasted cardio (provided the pre-run meal is high protein, low carb, low fat). This has worked for me Hands down.

Benefits it's given me:
- much more fat burning than low intensity fasted cardio
- increased my fitness and respiratory (which LI doesn't do)
- increased my athletic performance (which LI doesn't do)
- Little to no muscle catabolism during the session
- time for other things (as it only takes a max of let's say 20 mins)

IMO morning workouts are the best. Just because im generally sluggish and nothing wakes me up like 315lbs hovering over your chest

well i prefer both actually before my workouts with a lil bit of carbs in me for some energy and a 5-10 min high intensity cardio on treadmill and after weight training 20-40 min low intensity cardio on elliptical i do both 2x a week and either Hi intensity or low intensity 2x a week with 2 days off of cardio this is what has worked for me but its whatever is comfortable and works for you!

I would do it in the morning, not fasted. HIIT in the morning, it will raise your metabolism through the day and its time efficient.
