Trying to get lean

search through the weight loss section so many threads, diets like the ckd, the velocity diet, anabolicdiet all in there

Your bench is greater than your squat!!!??? You should work on that :) Good luck with the cuttage though!

Maybe he has no arms, and benches with his feet?

/wait, wut?

^Hahaha^

I personally love the Zone diet. You can cut or bulk with it. It's just a matter of how many blocks you eat. The short it's a 40/30/30 diet.

I have links to info on it in my signature below.

Does anyone have any good diet programs to follow for a cutting phase?

You DON'T need a specific DIET plan to lose fat; just do what you do when trying to gain muscle mass, except DEcrease your calories (or you could eat the same amount of calories and just train HARDER).

Or calorie cycle (i.e. 2-4 days lower than maintenance, then 1-2 days higher than maintenance); that's the best way to burn fat IMO.

What about low carb diets or carb cycling?

Low carbohydrate (CHO) diets are UNnecessary. You COULD cycle CHO (i.e. make your high calorie days high CHO days), but I would NOT recommend anything LESS than 50-100g of CHO a day (and even 50g is pretty LOW), because you need at LEAST 50g of CHO daily to burn fat effectively! A good guideline is to have ~1g of CHO per kg of body mass per day (Burke, 2006).

See post #2 at Invalid Link Removed re tips on diet for fat loss (same principles apply for males AND females).

I really like what I saw when looking over the Zone Diet. Some of those meal options you had listed looked great copycat.

Im currently running the velocity diet, but when I come off I might look into the zone for a regular staple diet.

Glad you like the zone. I love it and have seen great increases in perofrmance when following it. As well, it's more of a lifestyle change in food rather than a "diet".

Velocity? Wow, I got so cranky when I tried it before. Ha.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to update my Zone meal of the week log. I've got a good one to put up.
