n00b... need advice

ok im a noob, trying to lose some weight..

untill a few weeks ago. i was eating whatever i want, however much i want, i didnt eat breakfast at all, i just waited for lunch which i now know is bad to do. its better to eat 5 meals or so right? oh and i was eating late too. also. late night snacks. i drank cokes all of the time. tea is my fave drink w/ lots of sugar (splenda). i ate nothing healthy what-so-ever.

a few weeks ago i started eating instant oatmeal for breakfast with a piece of toast. my main problem is that i hate fruit, and healthy stuff.. other than i love bananas, grapes, oranges, but i hate strawberries and stuff..

so this is my normal eating routine for a few weeks. tell me if it sounds ok. and tell me what i could do to improve it.

i was told by many to spread out meal throught the day instead of eating 2 or 3 big meals like i used to.

so tell me if i need to not eat snacks or whatever

breakfast

instant quaker oatmeal (maple & brown sugar)
1 piece of toast w/ no butter
orange juice or water

snack

quaker chewy (90 calories)
or
1 banana
or
handful or green grapes

lunch

peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread(no crust) i hate it lol
or
tuna sanwich w/ some miracle whip(i only put enough so it isnt dry) i hate mayo though
or
progresso soup(like 160 calories per can)

my mom always cooks dinner. but its 99% always chicken, since we hate beef lol

dinner

baked chicken w/ broc & rice lypton noodle packet
or
baked chicken w/ cream of mushroom over it. w/ rice
or
breakfast( scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, 1 buscuit)

basically stuff like that

late snack

Beef stick(from the gym) 80 calories
or
muscle milk(small chocolate one) 160 calories
or grapes, banana etc.

my goal is to lose weight. and basically become healthier and skinnier lol. im not fat, but i am overweight. i didnt take an interest in getting healthier until recently.

i weighed 187 in jan of last year with 30% bodyfat. i took some pe and weight training classes, and in 5 months i lost 10 pounds and i got to 178 pounds, with 24.8% bodyfat. and thats without changing my diet or anything. just working out.

but then i stepped on a rusty nail and i was told by the doctor to stay off of it for 2 weeks(which broke my working out habit) then i got lazy again. i re-gained my weight.

so if i am serious, eating better, and taking working out serious.. wont i see better/faster results?

So me and my fiancee just joined 24 hour fitness.. as we plan to better ourselves... as of 2 days ago. i am now 27% body fat and 183.5 pounds

tips.. advice.... anything is welcome..

thanks guys

also.. i tried updating my diet on this site. showing what i have eaten. (its not in the correct order lol)

Everything looks good but I would watch the late night snack... Are you lifting? Cardio? This will help determine if what you are doing is the right thing.. How much do you want to lose? How fast do you want to lose it?

If you have an acidic lifestyle (stress, animal protein, over training) your body needs your fat stores to buffer the acids. High cholesterol, fat that wont leave and low energy levels are typical symptoms. Google "acid/alkaline diet" or look up "Anthony robbins alkaline" its at the base of most peoples problems and doesnt get half the media it deserves. Its def work a look either way!

Emerging from a fog, ready to grow, time to work on my mind like i've toiled on my body, only not for vanity. Am i ready for god?

How much knowledge do you have on working out\lifting? Machines are a good way to start, but free weights allows you to use stabilizer muscles which help growth..
