have you done the same type of temperature monitoring while taking any other natural thermogenics?

No sorry Easy I haven't but maybe in the future. The main problem I have is that I really can not use any type of stimulents any more since they really kill my adrenal health and leave me in a fog for weeks after use.

3/27 basal tem today 98.1 degrees. More to follow when I get out of bed and off my a*s.

Well so far the rest of the temps today have been

98.8
99.1
99.4
99.4

My BP was elevated today but I took it in the middle of the day about 20 minutes after drinking a few cups of diner coffee with my salad. So not sure if it was the coffee especially since the systolic was all that was elevated, 136/76

I will keep an eye on it.

Mr.50

Well, dont keep to much of an eye on it, or you might worry yourself up a few points. LOL. Whenever Im tracking bp for journal/log reasons, I always try to track it at the same time everyday/night, to keep things as accurate as possible.

Basal 98.2. Subsequent today 98.8, 99.1, 99.4.

Did not have a chance to check my BP today. So far I have not found any correlation between the consumption of fats/meals and postprandial temp. Of course that is just my experience it does not mean this is not a possible effect of Recreate. On Monday when I weighed in at the gym I was 208-209 lbs and I will update on this coming Monday for any true weight changes. As of last night my weight was holding steady but my BF seemed to be slightly lower with a little bit of tightening of around the abs.

When you take your basal temp, do you take it from an armpit measure or mouth? I took mine today out of curiousity and it was only 96.5 but i took it with the classic under the tongue method.

Wow PMiller I am surprised you are doing so well getting lean if that is a accurate when taken orally. I usually take my basal temp the usual way (under the tounge) even though the old school way is to take it under the armpit. Nowadays they know that axillary temp is usually 1 degree lower then under the tounge so as a way to standardize temp they now just have people do it under the tounge like the rest of the day. Of course the difference is that axillary temp is least affected by environment (at least first thing in the morning). If you even have a drink or anything first your oral temp will be screwed up. Try it tomorrow morning make sure it is under your tounge and back as far as it goes. Also start to keep track of it the rest of the day for a while if you can. If it is consistently low then get some thyroid bloodwork done to double check it. Of course, if you have no symptoms (still have agood energy level, average or not much trouble losing fat, etc.) then don't worry about it too much but it might bare looking into.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to get a new thermometer and try to tomorrow morning and see if its just the old thermometer going bad. I have heard basal temp can also indicate overtraining and central nervous fatigue but I have to look for the article again. Any who keep up the nice work on this log.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Mr.50 again.

PMiller all of what you have heard is pretty accurate as far as the overtraining and central nervous system fatigue but it is difficult to determine if the problem is in the early stages or late just from the basal. Usually what happens is that the adrenal galands and the thyroid gland are delicatly intertwined. When you have a normal functioning thyroid but overtrain or overuse stimulents you can negativly affect your adrenals and which is the essence of "central nervous system burnout". If it is caught early and rest is taken (lay off from overtraining or overuse of stims) it can stop at that stage and go back to normal. If it becomes chronic then the adrenal burnout becomes the weak link that eventually weakens the thyroid. (Of course may times it is the thyroid that goes first then the adrenals). One of the main signs of low thyroid is low basal temp but this also correlates with burnedout/low adrenals. The best treatment is to try to determine from bloodwork (and saliva for adrenals) where the relevent hormone levels are; to monitor temperatures, both basal, and daily averages; and to treat with glandular support or hormone replacement. This is exactly what I have been doing and I have to say I am getting some pretty good improvements in energy and mood as well as some other subjective measures. I will be repeating bloodwork and saliva in the near future (already had thyroid done twice and saliva cortisol done once before any intervention).

As far as this thread goes, my progress is really steady, temps for today 98.8 basal (wow thats actually high) and the rest so far today 99.7 and 99.4. Still elevated on 2 Recreate a day. I might go up to three tomorrow.

50 do you feel any of this raised temp in sensations?
ie:

are you hot all the time?

are you sweating all the time(not when exercising)?

do you feel uncomfortable in any way?

Keep us posted.
