P-Slin

Does P-Slin actually work like it's supposed to.

I've used AP before, bought 4 bottles when it first came out. It was alright, but nothing mind blowing.

I'm considering trying it again though, stacked with P-slin, but I don't know if it's worth dropping all the money.

I'm looking to drop fat, and keep my size, or maybe get a tad bigger.

What's everyones feedback on this?

Thanks

You may view my opinion as biased, but I truly believe that P-Slin and AP are some of the BEST supplements I have every used. With P-Slin I am able to consume LARGE amounts of carbs (120+ g) and not gain bodyfat. The P-Slin helps better utilize these carbs for my intense training sessions. I have noticed a major increase in endurance with crazy muscle fullness and pumps. Stength has also been progressing faster than normal. I seriously do not train with using P-Slin, it a a staple for me.

I have been using the AP/PSlin combo and have been loving it. I have seriously been having some of the best gains of my life, and they have been coming very fast for a non-hormonal supplement. PSlin with 75-100 gms of WMS before workouts is amazing!

What time do you consume the WMS and what time do you work out? Curious on the best timing you found?

45mins to an hour before I get to the gym, its about another 15mins before I start my workout (changing, getting water, waiting on workout partner to warm up, etc)

what brand WMS?

WMS is kind of hit or miss with me. I prefer oat with P-Slin, but oats and WMS works very well if you have the timing right.

Hmm, I'm gonna consider this, but I may only go with P-slin right now, I was planning on doing P-slin and AP, but funds are low at the moment.

p slin review

I tried Pslin for 60days and did everything right. My pre workout meals were around 110g of complex carbs with my usual protein consumtion, and I'll honestly say that It really DID NOT do anything great for me. I got just as good results from a good NO product as the pslin. Pslin has an herb in it called gymnema which diabetics use to control there blood sugar (kinda like cinnamon). I think waxy maize works better then pslin for loading macronutrients into the muscle tissue, which creates awesome pumps and increased intensity in your workouts. I think alot of supplement companies do a good job at advertising products, and thats why knowing what really works is becoming more important. If it seems to good to be true, it porbably is. I've tried so many different things, and sticking to the basics seems to be the best thing working.

IMO, these insulin sensitizing products work well if you "need" them..ie you aren't as sensitive to insulin as you could be.

Edit..they're also kinda tricky to pin down as far as nutrient timing.

I'm not sure why the consumer thinks if "it dose not work for me" than it's to good to be true.

We do not soliict the Great response, and we except the bad responses. Supplmentation is not 100%. Creatine the most studied supplement in the world has non responders and So do steroids.

You do not know if if works until you try it.

The Mechanism behind AP and PSLIN is independant of insulin.

This is a long explanation of my history with AP and P-slin. If it is too much to read I will summarize by saying that I can not recommend P-slin enough even if AP was disappointing.

I too bought AP when it first came out and not happy with the results. I gained weight and fat and my blood sugars went through the roof while on it. I am not diabetic (my girlfriend is so I have access to a tester) and never had elevated readings until I was taking AP. It took about 4 months for my sugars to completely stabilize after 7 weeks of AP use. Just as troubling was that after more than a year of some of the best customer service ever, I could not get an answer to multiple e-mails with my questions regarding P-slin and if it was worth a try for me after my experience with AP.

Prior to the release of P-slin, I was trying AP again using the P-slin protocol (to finish off my opened bottle and help with my decision about buying P-slin) with better results. I still had some concerns about the long term effect on my blood sugars and monitored them almost as if I suffer from type 2 diabetes like my girlfriend.

Partially because I have used just about every USP product at one time or another and been pleased with all but AP and partially because I did not want to miss the intro price, I decided to try P-slin despite my concerns. It was definitely worth it. I use P-slin as directed on resistance training days only. My carbs come from 1 cup of grape nuts with milk and about 33-35 grams of whey. One hour later I take 5 g creatine. Another half hour later I take 1 PowerFull and 1 Super Cissus and then wait half an hour to workout.

My strength went up, my weight went up, my energy and endurance went up and my body fat (using mybodycomp.com) dropped. I gained size and muscle hardness while visibly leaning out. I am not sure if it is directly related to the P-slin or just that the extra energy and endurance allowed my form to stay clean, but my joints hurt less as well. I have continued to monitor my blood sugars thus far without elevation.

If I were you I would P-slin on its own.

I responded to your e-mail and advised to stop taking AP if it's causing elevated blood sugar. The Mechanism should lower glucose not increase blood sugar.

We are not aware of any mechanism that would cause elevated blood sugar. My responsibilty is to advise you to stop and not fabricate an answer as to why.

You wanted answers that I could not provide.

Jacob,

None of what I said was meant as an attack but when discussing using P-slin after a disappointing run with AP I felt is should be mentioned. I never asked about the AP till I was looking for info on the P-slin in July. I stopped taking AP on my own in February.

The first e-mail I sent about the effects AP had on me was July 1st when asking about the possibility of P-slin being effective for me. Since you usually respond in a day or less, I re-sent the e-mail after getting no response. I sent it again on the 4th, the 7th and the 11th. I never got a response to a single e-mail regarding AP or note I left when ordering other products. I have every e-mail ever sent between us saved all the way back to September of 2005--I really only erase spam. The only e-mails I have received from you since July 1st are the inner circle e-mails.

Up until the P-slin questions--ie would it be worth my trying it--you had always been helpful and courteous. Your customer service had been top notch. As I said in all of the e-mails I sent regarding AP and P-slin:

"You are definitely the leader in innovative herbal supplementation so I have been watching the P-slin logs on your message boards with great interest."

I still believe this to be true. I like your company and its products. I think you are usually very helpful and straight forward about all your products. When I was looking to buy P-slin this was not the case.

Again, I only mentioned the lack of response because I felt it was specifically pertinent to the AP/P-slin answer and what the other customer could expect. It was not an attack.

I wasted $40 on a bottle of AP. In other words, I was a non-responder. It happens and I didn't let that stop me from trying p-slin.

Today was my first workout without p-slin in the last month and I definitely noticed a difference in energy and my pump. Therefore, I had no choice but to order another bottle from Nutra.

By the way, I take it 15 minutes before I consume 75 grams of WMS from True Protein. I then hit the weights around 30 or so minutes later. Outstanding combo for me!

Well, it's official, I placed the order for a bottle of P-slin this past monday.

I'm excited to try it to say the least.

Thanks for all the input.

I have noticed that several people that do not respond well with AP experience great effects from P-Slin. Glad it is working out for you.

I too have a question about the AP / P-Slin combo:

Currently I'm on both, using P-Slin before weight training sessions. I'm geared towards endurance, with lots of running and crossfit type style workouts. Therefore I take in a lot of carbohydrates... around 400g a day.
When dosing P-Slin 1x daily, I go with about 100-120g carbs.
However, when dosing AP 2x daily, I do the same thing.. lots of carbs.

Is that a bad thing with AP? Should I cut it down a bit or can AP also handle that amount of carbohydrates like P-Slin can? I've been limiting my carbohydrate intake into these 3 of my ~6 daily meals so that each time I'm on either AP or P-Slin.

with your type of training, your intake with AP is fine. I would not change it.

or

You could add in another AP to another meal and spread out the carbohydrate intake to over 3 AP dosed meals instead of 2.

or

try both methods and find which works best for your situation.

How do you like so far?

What I meant to say was that I take 1x P-slin daily, and 2x AP daily, so I'm already at three dosings per day.... but yes technically AP only twice... would it be wrong to go 3x AP's daily along with with 1x P-slin? So that I would carbohydrate in 4 meals in the day?

I unfortunetly was also an AP non-responder. Looking at the P-Slin on sale at nutra really has me on the fence now, with giving it a go despite my experience with AP.
