Thanks guys. I haven't been much for supplements for a long time, a long time. I got seriously injured earlier this year and it has seem to have just compounded my problems with lack of gains for the past several years. I guess one could tack it up to alot of things, but there is the things I can control like my sleep, diet, supplementation and training. I wish I could find a quality partner here but training alone in your home gym makes it a bit difficult on recruiting efforts.
Right now I am 5'5 and around 210lbs. I would venture to say I am 18-20% bodyfat. I know that many here and other places have the goal of being the biggest they can, well thats not my goal at this stage in life. I have a goal of losing 20-30lbs of flab and just simply getting stronger while staying healthy or improving my health. I would like to compete in masters olympic lifting in a few years(like 4 more) and be able to continue to do that for many years to come. Would love to be in my 50s and still able to do the lifts and be strong to help my kids and even grandkids. No, it doesn't sound so hardcore, but its what is important, since the old glory days have long past!
I am on quite a simple health supportive supplement plan. For this purposes at this time I use the Now foods brand products. I am looking for something that will truly help support my fatloss, health and performance. From all the things I have read USP Labs is where its at if one doesn't really prefer the steroid or prohormone route. I have a bottle of M1T in my shelve and its been there for about 3 years now. Never even opened it, so its probably bad now anyway. For a man my age and with plans to have another kid or two I don't want to mess with that stuff anyway. I want a good healthy natural kick and thats why I am here, I am a beleiver and I have never taken one single USP Labs product.
So...here is my plan. Right now I am really just starting to get back into training and getting my eating somewhat under control. I would like to start a log here or at the Synergy Muscle forum detailing my training and diet for a month before I start anything from USP Labs. The Ceo will see my pictures but I am a little hesitant to put them out just yet. I am plan on taking pictures month to month to see where this goes and if its for me. Before I began a log know that, no, my diet is not perfect, I am not looking for 3%BF, just lean and healthy. I have to eat what the wife cooks and I do eat leftovers! But it will all be here for everyone to see. I am not a bodybuilder nor care to be one, I want strength and as much as I can pack into a 175-180lbs body.
I plan to deload this coming week and I may just get my log started during the deload, it won't be exciting, but it will be a start.
For starters here is a video of me doing overhead squats with 275lbs from the bottom position before I was injured.
It takes a bit to load it seems but here it is anyway
