My girl, her IBS and cAMPHIBOLIC

Ok serious issue here, my girl has IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) She's had it since she was younger and really hinders her as far as workouts and how she feels, basically her life in general. The type of IBS she has does not allow her to go regularly. Imagine eating 4-5days worth of food and not being able to get rid of it. It sucks.

Anyway she's tried different meds and they didn't work for her so she's left with alternative medicine to try. We've tried this and that but not much has helped besides loading up on laxatives (which is not healthy)

Where cAMPHIBOLIC comes in. Not sure how or what is doing it but since she's started her cAMPHIBOLIC cycle 3 weeks ago she's been going regularly about every other day which is amazing for her. I thought it might be just a fluke but this started about 3-4 days in and has continued! Now I know this is not the intended use for the product but it's really helping her any clue as to what could be doing it? If this continues to work like it is you may really have something here that could go big, I mean big.

Not saying this is a cure but damn if it's not helping her. USP any thoughts man?

I must admit that night-time cAMPH gives me McRumblings down there, definitely keeps me to atleast a once a day ritual.

Do I smell a new marketing campaign for cAMP:

"cAMP - Helping the womenz get their poop on!"

:chick:

That's very interesting. Actually, my wife used to have this problem. This is definetely worth a try if the problem ever comes up again. That is pretty awesome that the cAMP is having this effect for her. Time to buy a years worth. Keep us posted if this is a continue success or not. Also, what kind of dosage is working for her? thanks for sharing btw.

If she's got IBS tell her to look into Senna Tea it was the only laxitive that worked for ppl with IBS when i worked in a supplement store, women loved it.

I can see that Jmin.

I'm having the McRumblings too. I hate getting up in the middle of the night to go crap.

I am no scientist but it may very well be the Cissus in the cAMP. I posted a study on here that was discussing how Cissus works as an antagonist against certain cytokines that cause gastrointestinal discomfort. Here they are:

Attenuation of neutrophil infiltration and proinflammatory cytokines by Cissus quadrangularis: a possible prevention against gastric ulcerogenesis.

Jainu M, Shyamala Devi CS.

Department of Biochemistry, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Reactive oxygen species, neutrophil infiltration and proinflammatory cytokines play an important role in the pathogenesis of gastric ulcers caused by aspirin. The present study demonstrates the healing effect of Cissus quadrangularis extract (CQE) through inhibitory action on generation of lipid peroxidation, proinflammatory cytokines and neutrophil infiltration. The concentration ofmalondialdehye (MDA), protein carbonyl content, conjugated dienes, mucosal (SH) sulphydryls, uric acid, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), and activities of myeloperoxidase (MPO), xanthine oxidase (XO) and antioxidative enzymes were determined in the gastric mucosa. Administration of CQE significantly attenuated the gastric lesions induced by aspirin and this was accompanied by the rise in uric acid, antioxidative enzymes, SH groups, and a significant decrease in lipid peroxidase, TNF-alpha, MPO and XO activities. These findings suggest that the significant gastroprotective activity could be mediated by the antioxidant activity as well as by the attenuation of oxidative mechanism and proinflammatory cytokines.

Effect of Cissus quadrangularis on gastric mucosal defensive factors in experimentally induced gastric ulcer-a comparative study with sucralfate.

Jainu M, Devi CS.

Department of Biochemistry, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai, India.

Cissus quadrangularis is an indigenous plant commonly mentioned in Ayurveda for treatment of gastric ulcers. The ulcer-protective effect of a methanolic extract of C. quadrangularis (CQE) was comparable to that of the reference drug sucralfate. Further, gastric juice and mucosal studies showed that CQE at a dose of 500 mg/kg given for 10 days significantly increased the mucosal defensive factors like mucin secretion, mucosal cell proliferation, glycoproteins, and life span of cells. The present investigation suggests that CQE not only strengthens mucosal resistance against ulcerogens but also promotes healing by inducing cellular proliferation. Thus, CQE has potential usefulness for treatment of peptic ulcer disease.

I too have always had a problem being "regular." I am currently using cAMP and C2. I have been using it for about a week and also keeping a log on AM. I have also noticed that I've been going more "regular" over the past few days. I guess I never really put two and two together until now.

WOW, Sometimes when you least expect it. My guess its the forskolin but very well could be the Cissus. Maybe we should start a small board case study,

Bump to my studies USP. Do you think the antagonism of pro-inflammatory cytokines by Cissus could be easing her bowels?

Yeah I was thinking what you and some of the others have said Cissus, I didn't think of the forskolin. It seems as though others are interested maybe the study is worth a shot.

USP if you wanted to do a study of this kind I know she would be down. She's never taken forskolin or cissus straight up so I don't know whats doing what.

Chaps I'll look into that Tea, Size also posted a study done of Peppermint oil which is supposed to help IBS.[/

We have many People mega dosing Cissus. I have seen those studies. THose who mega dose Cissus do not have bowel issues. Forskolin will cause the above effect.

I'd vote for the Forskholin as well. It tends to speed up metabolism and gets the bowels cranking. IBS does have some inflammatory causes, but IBS with constipation tends to be due to a weak signal to the vagus nerve.

Cissus would be better for a inflammatory condition like ulcerative collitis or IBS with diarrhea, IMO.

Senna tea is good for constipation as someone pointed out. Adding in psyllium husks, flax seed fiber, or a fiber mix put out by Dr Natura works really well for regularity.

As always, lots of fish oil is always indicated for intestinal disorders.

Forskolin speeding the metabolism and increasing the bowel movements while CIssus attacks inflammation. FIshoil also decreased inflammation so sounds like a plan of attack!

Agreed, I think a product mix like this would not only help her with IBS but a lot of us bodybuilding who eat like a horse and need to keep the system running like a well oiled machine:D

She already take ground flax seed and fiber so maybe forskolin and senna tea mixed and it would be great.

She's losing weight and somewhat regular, senna tea would probably make it that much better.

Thanks for posting this Jminis, just the possibililty of Camph helping with IBS was enough to convince my girl to try it. And she has been hardcore against taking suppliments since I can remember.

It is the forskolin. cAMP(which I like) gives me GI issues everytime I use it, and I know it is the forskolin.
Jmin...remember to tell her to try peppermint oil for her IBS.
