Jecko's Cut Log with USP Tester Sample

I received my package in the mail on Friday and counted out 142 caps which works out to 35.5 days worth of caps. I like to kinda get a feel for what I am taking before diving right in so I have been trying a few different combos with the product.

Day1- Just 2 red caps upon waking and 2 before workout.
Day 2- 2 caps, 25mg ephedrine hcl upon waking and 2caps, 25mg E before working out.......I had a headache all day with this combo, it felt pretty bad in my frontal lobes so I'm not sure what it could've been so on day 3 I scaled back to 16mg of E but still minor headaches. If any of the USP cats have any ideas on what the possible cause for these are I'd love for some ideas ???

:aargh: So my first post was just me getting ready for the big log, so this is it, it's gametime now the official 30 day trial of USP's cutting product starts today.:woohoo:

First a little history about myself:
Age: 29 (30 in 4 months)
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 206lbs as of this morning
Bodyfat%: 30.2% as per my digital scale :aargh: I'm not sure if I believe the damn thing.
Years Training: I got my first Weider starter kit when I was 12 and did BP everyday for like a year:icon_lol: until I picked up a copy of Flex and started reading it faithfully while Lee Haney was reeling of Olympia victories like they were nothing. Anyways, played very competitive hockey right up until I was about 22 (Major Junior, College/University Varsity) so I was always training for strength and speed lots of plyometrics and explosivetraining. However the past few years have not been so kind, after all those years of hockey the injuries have caught up and made it difficult to even walk some days combine that with a Management job that leaves me stuck at a desk for most of my day I got fat. As of last June I had hit a peak of about 238lbs. My wife and I had also just moved into a new house and I had been waiting for months for it to be completed because there was a decent gym around the corner:woohoo: So in July I got my membership at the new gym and it was time to re-focus myself to getting back in shape. I was making some pretty decent progress in the gym until September when I got jumped by 6 punks at my best friends bar and they put me out of commision for about a month and a half where I lost some ambition:sad: In December I got motivated again for a trip to Mexico in April so I decided to get myself some Melting Point, Basic Cuts, Glucophase XR and Cissus RX to help accelerate the fat loss. I started in December at a weight of 221lbs, out of the whole 8 weeks I did that stack the one thing that really got me going again was the Cissus, I was able to start walking without pain in my hip flexor and knees (thanks USP).

So that brings me to today, overall on the previous stack I lost 12lbs in the 8 weeks I was on. I have lost a further 3lbs in the past 2weeks and would like to get to 195 for the first of April.

Here are my measurements as of today:

Chest- 43"
Stomach- 40.25"
Waist- 38"
Hips- 42.25"
L/Quad- 24.75"
R/Quad- 24.5"
L/Calf- 15"
r/Calf- 15.25"
L/Upper Arm- 15.5"
R/Upper Arm- 15.25"
L/Forearm- 12.5"
R/Forearm-12.5"

I will post my measurements from the beginning of December later as they are on my laptop at work.

My workout plan will look like this:

Monday- Chest and Tris
Tuesday- back and Bis
Wednesday- Hockey one hour
Thursday- OFF
Friday- Shoulders and Traps
Saturday- Cardio (45min-1hour) and Abs
Sunday- Legs

I will post the exercises, sets and rep schemes each day due to the fact that my exercises may change week to week to whatever equipment is available at the gym when I go (it gets pretty crowded somedays)

I will be trying to use a 40/40/20 split for my diet at between 1800-2100 calories/ day. I am not going to log my food daily but I will post a link to my Fitday. If anyone is looking at my diet and has any suggestions etc I am all ears, I love to assimilate as much information as possible.

As for supplements, I will be using the following:
Red Caps from USP 2caps/2x/day
EphedrineHCL 8mg/2x/day (to start see my above post about headaches)
BN CEE- 3.5-4grams pwo
Glucophase XR- 1 cap pwo and 1 cap before bed
Multi Vitamin

I will be logging bedtime weight and morning weight daily as well as my overall comments on training and the supplements effects.

First off, wow what the hell is in this stuff ???? I took 2caps and 16mg of E before hockey at 1630 and I couldn't sleep at all last night and it felt like my internal furnace was cranked. I think I am going to have to change my dosing times to 700 and 1400 just to make sure that it clears my system so I can sleep.

Anyway, I had the day off yesterday and woke up late so I missed one meal and ended with only 1500cals. When I took my second dose before hockey I started to get a warming sensation all over and I had a ton of energy on the ice, got a little too aggressive a couple of times but that's just hockey.

Question for USP: Is this stuff prone to kick the libido up a notch?? For whatever reason I got a little more jump if you know what I mean:thumbsup:

Has to be the ephedrine thats keeping you up..

I hope so, but I didn't have this problem last week when it was ECA solo. Another thought is that I slept in until 10am that morning and I have just came off a 2 week stretch of an afternoon shift so the body hasn't adjusted to my regular 9-5. However what I will do is just change the dosing to what I posted earlier and when my body has gotten back to my normal sleep cycle I'll take it later in the day just before I work out.

Oh ya, I almost forgot. Here are my measurements from December when I started my cut:

Chest- 45"
Stomach- 43"
Waist- 41"
Hips- 43.5"
L/Quad-25.5 "
R/Quad- 25.5"
L/Calf- 16"
r/Calf- 16.25"
L/Upper Arm- 15..25"
R/Upper Arm- 14.5"
L/Forearm- 12.5"
R/Forearm-12.5"

Lost pretty much an average of an inch off most everything and it shows in the mirror.

Friday-

Bedtime- 207.4
Morning- 204.8

No workout yesterday, it was an off day and it was a good thing I was pretty tired from the night before. I still had problems sleeping last night and I dosed my E and red caps earlier in the day, so I am going to assume that my body is just going throught the adjustment of being back on the day shift at work. Tonight will be Back, Shoulders and Bis.

Weekend-

Bedtime- 210
Morning- 206

:frustrate Terrible weekend. To start, I got about 3hrs sleep on Friday night after doing Back, Shoulders and Bis. The workout was decent nothing to write home about, I was presse for time so I did 2 super sets followed by some isolation work:

Superset 1:
Exercise Sets Reps
Lat Pulldowns 3 (w/1 warmup) (15) 12,10,10
Shoulder Press " " " "
Hammer Curls " " (12),10,10,8

Superset 2:
WideGrip Low Pulley Rows 3 10,10,8
Side Laterals 3 10,10,8
BB Curls 3 10,8,6

Did each exercise one right after each other and felt pretty spent at the end of it. With the lack of sleep so far this week my performance was sub par:frustrate

So Saturday roles around and my in-laws want us to go to the International Car Show in Toronto, I just finished working so we hopped in the car and away we went with me only having 3 hours of sleep. The one saving grace was I took one serving of red caps and 25mg of E just before we left and another serving for later. What was worst was I knew I was going to have to eat fast food for the day so all and all Saturday was a write off.

Sunday, much better I'm not sure what is in the red caps but I am really starting to like it. I had an awesome Chest and Tris workout (I switched legs to Monday after all the walking I had to do at the Auto show).

Exercise Sets Reps
DB Incline Press 6 (2 warmups) (15,12) 10,8,6,6
BB Bench Press 4 10,5,5,4
Assisted Dips 3 10,8,8
Close Grip BP 3 8,8,8
1 arm Reverse grip Pulldowns 2 10,10
Rope Pressdowns 2 10,8

I went up 10 lbs on both my Incline DB presses and BB Bench Press and had a wicked pump at the end of the workout but again ended up with the in-laws watching the big race and ended up eating pizza for dinner. This week will be much better on the diet aspect of things.

Any mental or physical let down or burnout feeling after the dose wears off at the end of the day, etc?

I always avoid stims now because while I am on them I feel like Superman and I overdo it and then later I feel so burnt out both physically and mentally I just can't deal with it.

Not really, I've always been pretty good with stims and the effects. However last night I went gung ho on legs and by the time it was about 2200 I was a dead dog. I didn't even want to walk up the stairs to go to bed. I think that I have been running such a high calorie deficit for so long now that it is really starting to impact my energy levels. The changes to my body in the mirror are worth it though.

Monday-

Bedtime- 210
Morning- 207

OK, so I'm up a couple of pounds from my lowest point last week:think: My bodyfat% on my scale have not changed at all so hmmmmmm. I had a great workout lastnight, it was kind of like having tunnel vision while in the gym which is always good on leg day.

Exercise sets reps
Leg Press (2warmup)+4 17,15,12,10,5,5
Hack Squat 3 8,8,8
Leg Curl 3 10,10,10
Stand Calf Raise 3 10,10,10
Seated Calf Raise 3 10,10,8
Abducters 3 15,15,15
Adductors 3 15,15,12

So on leg press I was actually able to complete one extra set at my top weight for 5 full reps which is big for me since my hip flexor is still a little wonky but I had a great level of focus when I was under the weight and it was a big ego booster. The energy that I am getting is definately coming from the USP product because I know my normal reactions to the E-hcl so far I am really liking this product. I don't really like what the scale is saying but my appearance in the mirror can't be lying, I will be doing my measurements again at the half way point and that will maybe help ease the mind.

jecko

I left out a couple of other things here, not sure if it is related but I've had a break out of about 3-4 zits in the past week......I never get zits:think: Just a weird coincidence perhaps. Also, I've changed my dosing just a bit for sustained energy throughout the day
700- 2 redcaps/ 24mg of E-hcl
1200- 2redcaps
1630- 2redcaps/ 24mg of E-hcl

How does that look USP guys???

Tuesday-

Bedtime- 209
Morning- 206

Did back and bis last night:

Exercise sets Reps
Pulldowns to Front (2)+3 (15,12)10,10,9
WideGrip Low Pulley Rows 3 10,10,10
Hyperextensions 4 10,10,10,10
Preacher Curls 4 10,10,8,8
Hammer Curls DB 3 10,10,8
Dropsets Cable Curls 3 (8,6,4), (8,6,4),(6,4,3)

It's time to up all the weights for the above exercises, I felt pumped to be in the gym last night with an intense focus that I attribute to the "red caps". I didn't add any E-hcl into the mix yesterday and I am not again today.

If anyone who is following this log has any comments or thoughts regarding my diet below can chime in it would be great. I feel that there are some improvements that I could be making to accelerate the weight loss.

Not much to report yesterday. I played hockey and we only had 2 extra guys to sub with so I had a hell of a cardio workout. I definately feel a kickass warming sensation when taking this stuff on an empty stomach. The weight isn't changing as reapidly as before but my pants are getting loose so when I do some measurements later this week it'll be interesting to see if there have been any changes for the better.

Holy crap what is going on here ??? My weight is going up but the BF% hasn't changed at all on my digital scale so I'm gonna take it as a good thing:D My strength is still going up and if anyone is checking out my fitday you'll see that I am running a pretty significant calorie deficit, so I really have no complaints, I just don't understand it. My vascularity is improving and the peaks in my Bis are getting noticable so this stuff is working to get me cut up which is fantastic.

Weekend Update

Bedtime- 212
Morning- 208

Again my weight is up another pound but the BF% has not changed. I ate like crap on the weekend as I was at my mother's house for a visit and they are not as well versed on nutritional meals where I am from:icon_lol:

Anyways, I'm going to get some measurements tomorrow morning and see what the damage is. My vascularity is much improved and my upper abs are more prevalent now than they were at the start of this trial. So I'm pretty pleased with the results thus far......

USP is this supp in any way similar to Fenotest from Scivation ????

Monday-

Bedtime- 207.8
Morning- 205.6

Well I was retaining a ton of water weight, I drank about 2 gallons of water yesterday and was in the bathroom for half of the day pissing like a racehorse.

Tons of focus while taking this stuff and lots of energy. Only negative thing that I can say is that I have been changing my jacket at work (uniform) twice a day because I am sweating quite a bit but that is completely normal for me when I am taking E-hcl.

Last night was chest and triceps:

Incline DB Press (2)warmup + 4 working sets reps were like this (15,12) 10,8,6,6
BB Bench Press 3 sets 10,8,8
Decline BP 3 sets 10,8,8
Dip Machine 3 sets 10,10,9
Reverse Grip Bench Press 3 sets 10,10,9
Tricep Pressdowns 3 sets 10,10,10

Tonight is back and Biceps.

No but they stack well together!

That's exactly what I'm doing right now (plus a few other added goodies). I ran a month of the NHA stack+Fenotest+cissus, and loved the results from that, enough so that I decided to continue that stack for another month. An order of mine containing Powerfull finally showed up a month late, so I've added that into the mix as well. Cissus+Powerfull+NHA Stack+Fenotest is my current stack.

First off just gotta say sorry if it appears I'm trying to hijacking your thread Jecko.

I'm only on day 4 of the current stack, so it's too early to really tell what impact Powerfull is going to have. NHA+Fenotest+Cissus was great though. I packed on 11 pounds (although only about half LBM, I've enjoyed Quizno's a few times, sushi a few times, as well as a nice but fat laden Valentine's day dinner with the gf that left several days of leftovers) in 28 days, and gained a ton of size all over. I think I'm up about 5/8 inch on my biceps for example. Strength gains have been modest, but I suspect a lot of that is due to the fact that I've recently switched to a TUT style of lifting, with increasing eccentric times as the month progressed. At the same time I've made massive strides in truly working and feeling the target muscle groups.

I'm cutting this week to try and drop a pound or two of the fat I've added thusfar, then back to bulking next week. Two of my 4 powerful doses (8 caps on w/o days and 6 on non-w/o days) will be alongside creatine/bcaa's as well. Anything else I could add to the stack to really boost results?

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention was the fact that I was only really healthy for 3 of the 4 weeks on my previous stack. I ended up getting a cold that took almost a full week to recuperate from. I still managed to squeeze in most of my workouts, but gains that week were minimal at best. There's no telling how overall gains would have been had I not gotten sick.

I hear ya there, I can relate to how frustrating it can be to keep a journal on here that seldom seems to garner any type of discussion.

I had a look over your diet, and I certainly see room for improvement. Eating things like bacon, pork sausages, white potato french fries,2% milk etc. to name a few examples is far from ideal. Eating high fat meats is certainly counterproductive, as is saturated milk fat from 2% milk. Most of your fat intake is saturated fat from the looks of your diet, and there are no healthy fats included, such as flax oil, olive oil, fish oil, etc. Things like french fries white potatoes, and dextrose in general aren't the greatest carbohydrate sources. I'd say in general you could clean up your carb sources, focusing on lower glycemic items such at oatmeal, sweet potatoes and brown rice for a few examples. You could also focus on upping your protein intake a bit, as you are under 1gram protein/pound bodyweight on most days. For somebody that is cutting you are also eating alot of fast food, this is something you should consider cutting out or at least cutting down on at some point.

If you're happy with the progress you're currently making, and still progressing at a decent rate fatloss wise, then you're probably fine to continue with your current diet selection. However, you'll probably find that you are able to eat more total calories and still have the same or possibly even more fatloss than you currently are seeing if you clean up your diet.

Here's an example day of my cutting diet that you can check out if you like:

Invalid Link Removed

This is a workout day for myself. Off days would have less carbs and slightly less protein, along with no whey. I'm eating this amount of calories at a weight of about 160 pounds, and lose fat nicely.

:icon_lol: Ahh you were looking at sunday's meals. Not an everyday occurance, I had the Bruce Lumberjack special at my buddies restaurant and bar. I hear ya though, I felt bad after eating it but it was one meal.

As for the carb sources I completely agree, I generally use yams, oatmeal and brown rice. Some days my proteing intake is too low, just one of the ****ty things that go along with the job I have is that sometimes I can't get everything in that I want :(

The progress has been pretty good I was actually stalled for about a week and even up a lb but the BF% didn't change but I have actually gone down again and the best thing is for the next 5 weeks I don't have to do anymore travelling so no more having to eat on the run :woohoo:

Wednesday-

Bedtime- 205.8
Morning- 203.6

Tuesday's back and bis workout went alright but it felt like I was struggling to complete all my reps.

WideGrip Pulldowns- (2)+ 3/ (15,12) 10,9,8
WideGrip Hammer Rows- 3/ 10,9,9
Hyperextensions- Bodyweight 4x10
Crunches- 2x15,2x12
Preacher Curls- 3/ 10,10,9
HammerCurls- 3/ 10,10,10
Concentration Curls- 3/ 10,10,8

Energy levels are still pretty good during the day while taking the red caps with E-hcl but the mornings are quite rough as I am dead tired upon waking. I figure I have been using stims for enough time now so after I'm done this trial I'm gonna back off all supps and enjoy my vacation and come back and do some real strength training.

Weight is holding steady which is a positive. I think that by March 21st I'll dip below 200lbs but I don't think I'm gonna hit 195 by April 1st as I would have to drop 2lbs/week.

Shoulders and Traps are up for tonight.

Friday-

Betime- 206
Morning- 203.4

Shoulders and Traps

DB Press- (15) 10,8,7
DB Side Laterals- 10,10,10
Bentover Side laterals- 10,10,10
Behind the Back Smith Shrugs- 15,10,10,10
Wide Grip Upright rows- 10,8,8

Strength was lacking but the energy was there. I have been feeling quite drained by the end of the day.....I should have got some powerfull for some better nights sleep.

Anyways, USP guys, I know that you didn't want us Canucks to test your sleep product but I was wondering if it will be available for sale to us Canucks???

Thanks D, Looks good:thumbsup:

Weekend Update

Sunday-

Bedtime- 209
Morning- 204 no change in BF%

Went out for breakfast with the wife yesterday she had a pregnancy craving for Golden Griddle (same as IHOP) buffet.....anyways I avoided the buffet like the plague and had a nice 3 egg omelette with some canadian bacon and homefries.....not the best meal but oh well......I hope I don't put on any pregnancy pounds

On a sidenote I didn't feel well yesterday so I pretty much layed on the couch and watched the race all day. I feel fine today and will be doing Back and Bis tonight.

Oh I should also mention that I did updated measurements yesterday morning and will post them later when I get home from work.....I'm pretty pleased I 've lost some inches in all the right places.

jecko

Monday-

Bedtime- 206.4
Morning- 202.4

I am getting closer and closer to getting under 200lbs.....I haven't been there in like 4 years :D

Last night I did Back and Bis

Lat Pulldowns (15) 10,10,8
Hammer Rows 10,10,9
T-Bar Rows 10,8,7
Weighted HyperExtensions 25lb 10,10,8,8
Preacher Curls 10,8,8
DB Hammer Curls 10,8,8

Not much change regarding the weights I was using but I did tire out fairly early in the workout from lack of carbs yesterday. One thing that I have noticed is recently I've had a few more heart palpatations than normal and my BP is up slightly, I'm not sure how much but I'll see if I can get a reading tonight. I attribute it all to the ephedrine without a doubt as it is regular for me to have these sides at this point. On the days that I am just using the red caps none of these sides show themselves, I just have a nice warm feeling all day with lots of energy. However last night was a horror show for me and I knew it was coming at about 8pm, I knew that I was not going to sleep, heart rate and BP were up and even with some melatonin and ZMA I was pooched.....maybe 3-4hours of sleep :( Oh well, I have a feeling when I try the sleep aid product later it'll be all good :D Also, just as a note I will be taking a good 6 week break from everything after I finish up this trial at the end of the week save the sleep aid when it gets in. After I return from Cuba (destination has changed from earlier) I will start a 12 week strength program, and try out some powerfull and camph.

Tuesday-

Bedtime- 206.4
Morning- 203

Did chest and tris last night and it was a rough workout. I started strong on the first couple exercises but just lost energy fast, I can blame this on the fact that I haven't gotten enough sleep the past couple of nights. I've been taking my last dose of ephedrine too late in the day and it is killing me....my fault though.

Exercises
Decline BP- 15,10,8,8
Flat Bench- 9,6,(11,8) dropped the weight.
Low Pulley Flyes- 10,10,10
Reverse Grip BP- 10,9,8
Dips- 10,10,9,8

Wednesday-

Bedtime- 206
Morning- 202.4

I finally got a decent sleep last night but boy I didn't want to wake up this morning. I got about 2 days worth of red caps left and thus far I'd have to say I am quite pleased with the results. I know that earlier I said I would post most recent measurements but I haven't spent much time on the PC at home but I'll include the final measurements and all final thoughts on the weekend:head: No workout lastnight but I skated my ass off playing hockey cause we only had 2 extra forwards.

Final Assesment-

Saturday-

Morning- 201.2
Bodyfat- 28.7% BLAH

Alright so I finished up the pretty red pills and am quite satisfied with the end results.

Final Calculations

Starting Weight- 206lbs at 30.2% = 143.78 LBM
Ending Weight- 201.2lbs at 28.7% = 143.45 LBM

These were the calculations from my scale at home but I also did these ones because I don't believe that damn scale. BF calculations following the Military neck and waist measurements (I believe)

Start- 206 at 21%= 162.74 LBM
End- 201.2 at 19%= 162.94 LBM

So anyway you cut it I pretty much lost 4.8lbs of fat :woohoo: in 4 weeks.

Starting Measurements are in (), followed by ending measurements.

Chest (43") 42.5"= -.5"
Stomach (40.25") 37.5"= -2.75"
Waist (38") 37"= -1"
Hips (42.25") 41.5"= -.75"
L Quad (24.75") 24.5 = -.25"
R Quad (24) 24= no change
L Arm (15.5") 15.25"= -.25"
R Arm (15") 15"= No change
L Forearm (12.25") 12.25"= No Change
R Forearm (12.5") 12.5"= No Change.

Positive Sides
- increased focus
-more energy
-NO LOSS IN LBM

Negative Sides
- profuse sweating (selfconscious about that)
- Slight BP and HR elevation

All and all USP it was a fine product and I attribute the negative sides strictly to the E-HCL as those sides always rear their ugly heads when I use E-HCL. I know that there are a ton of Fatburners out there but this one is a winner in my book.

I look forward to testing for you again and thank-you for this opportunity.

sounds like a pretty good product! was the excess sweating just while you were working out or during the day

During the day but I really blame it on the ephedrine...it always happens to me when on ephedrine.

Congrats on the results you achieved. Pure fatloss is tricky to achieve sometimes.

I don't think I'd trust a bodyfat scale, and would trust a neck and wrist measurement even less. How the heck a neck and wrist measurement could give you a reliable bodyfat reading is beyond me. You can pick up a pair of calipers pretty cheap at many different supplement retailers nowadays. Even if the bodyfat readings from those aren't the greatest, it still allows you to track fatloss from many different areas of your body reliably.

I hear ya Max, I've been meaning to pick the calipers up for a while now and just haven't gotten around to it.....soon methinks :D

WOW!

By the looks of the log, you lost alot of fat and retained most muscle or possibly gained since strength went up!

We really need to release this product soon!
