Is it ok to mix cissus, or any herb with hot liquids, like green tea? Just making sure, for a lady friend who wants to mix in the herbs with green tea.
I think it depends upon the particular plant. For example I read somewhere that if making Valerian Root tea one needs to use warm, not hot, water otherwise some of the lighter oils in it get boiled off.
Should do nothing whatsoever to diminish the integrity of the phytosterols. IIRC, the degradation point – the point at which the primary constituents of a herb begin to dismantle – is far beyond boiling point for Cissus.
