Asteroid Stack and Women

Pippie

New member
I have just purchased the Asteroid Stack and am looking for some advice on dosing.
I am female, 5ft 4, 124lbs and around 15% fat.
Do I stick with the dosages that it prescribes on the tubs and in the Asteroid Stack Manual, or is it advisable to start off with a lower dosage for the first week or 2?
I was also wondering about the best way to use Anabolic Pump.
I was planning on having 40g complex carbs at breakfast, pre-workout and with my post workout meal an hour or so after training, which would be round about dinner time. I usually have fast carbs immediately after I train for the insulin spike. Is it still advisable to do this, or should I just have a protein shake and complex carbs with my post workout meal?

Sorry for so many questions but I want to get it right!

Thankyou in advance for any replies and help!

Pip

some people are advocates of only complex carbs, and others fast carbs after a workout. either way, take AP 2 or 3 times a day before your complex carbs

Hey Pippie I have trainee that's just about your size, let me know how this works out for you... She seems to want to get serious and this may be a stack in her future. I like to get at least a year of hard training into her before we start into something like this but am always gathering info for when the time may come.

My wife is on this stack right now, she is 1 inch taller than you and about 5 lbs lighter. But she is is loving it, making awesome strength gains in the gym. Body composition is looking quite nice also ;)

With females, you can start with 1 AP per day, 1 PF pre-workout and 1 PF pre-bed, and 1 PR 3 times per day. Slowly increase to full dosing over the course of two weeks.

15 minutes prior to meals containing at least 40g of Complex Carbohydrate, up to three times per day.

With Anabolic-Pump, you will no longer require a sharp insulin release to have nutrients driven into your muscles. In my opinion, I would look into a complex carbohydrate source for your post workout shake. Something like Waxy Maize starch, Barley/Oat powder. This will assure optimum body composition change.

I would advise this.

Pip is gonna rip...up...

I started stack yesterday, taking 2 AP, 6 prime split over 3 meals and 4 powerfull, 2 pre-train and 2 pre bed.

Borobulker I had already started stack when I read your reply.

Had good workout yesterday...am doing freak workout plan.
Muscles feel alot fuller and pumped this morning, but went for a run before breakfast and legs felt like lead weights, which is unusual for me.
Looking forward to training again today...leg day!

Yah takes some time to adjust and get just the right amount of carbs, I'm on day 10 of something similar and still making adjustments. I have always been carefull with carbs.

Killer stuff! That is great feedback already. No issues with that dosing but I was simply directing you that the average female has been starting there.

Day 3 and definately feeling harder. Had a slightly lower carb day yesterday as I like to cycle them. Going to have a higher day today and hopefully that will make me feel fuller as well. Seem to be losing fat already on my legs. My upper body is already very lean, just have a little bit to come off legs. Abs showing nicely ready for summer!

Have just ordered some recreate. Goin to start taking that before am cardio. I just thought what the hell, if I'm gonna do this lets go the full whack.

Am loving the stack so far!

Yah stuff pumps you up... I am carb cycling as well and using Pslin on the high carb days. I dropped about 5 lbs in the first 10 days which is a little too fast. I have to adjust... AP and Pslin dispose of more carbs than I thought. I will be increasing my carb intake which is kind of an odd feeling for me being an endo. Also if your taking Prime you may be able to up your calorie intake and still lose weight. I will be taking Prime again on the second half of my 8 week run. This is a whole new way of cutting.. I get to eat lots and gain strength and still lose weight.

Well, I have been on this stack for 4 days now, and all I can say is WOW. Fantastic training sessions, feeling alot leaner and fuller, and looking as good as I have done for ages.
I would definately recommend to females who want serious results.
People in the gym keep asking me what I'm taking, but unfortunately here in the UK, USP Labs isn't that well known YET.
Going to do weight check etc tomorrow, so that will give me an indication exactly how well the stack has worked so far.
Will keep you posted!

Wait till you hit around day 12-14 then you should see some sudden obvious strength gains. Plan for a progression in intensity/increase in load. You may be tempted to increase frequency and volume but try and hold off a bit so you don't burn out. Put all your effort into intensity increase. You'll be working so hard you'll need all the recovery time you can get.

Well after checking my stats this morning, I have lost 1.5 lbs in weight, 3/4 inch off my abdomen and 1/2 off my hips which is amazing. I have to admit though as I want to gain muscle I was hoping to gain a lb or 2. I have gone from 8 stone 8.5 to 8 stone 7, and I'm trying to get up to 9 stone, so I have 7lbs of muscle to put on. I will just have to be patient! At least the stubborn bits of fat are melting away!

Actually you did likely gain a lb or 2 of muscle.... 3/4 of an inch indicates about 3.5 lbs fat loss and the scales only has you down 1.5 lbs....

Have really missed not training today. Cant wait to get back into it tomorrow to feel the pump! Lol. I'm sure with this stack that every week I'm going to see changes. Pretty exciting stuff!

All going well still. Have had to increase my carbs abit, but feel better for it. I love this stack, and I love the Freak workout...its awesome!

Can anybody give me some info on AP and fasted cardio. I do cardio 4 mornings a week with a small scoop of VPX NO Shotgun and some extra BCAA. I usually take AP straight after then have a carb breakfast 15-20mins after that. Would I get more benefit taking the AP before the cardio.
Woult it also be beneficial to take 1 powerfull before cardio session?

good to hear your liking it I am running this stack myself and am having awesome results this is the first I've heard of a woman running this stack my girlfriend is wanting to get something to help her recomp a bit as she see's all the progress I'm making and now she is motivated to get back in shape so I'm interested to see how this works for you good luck!

powerfull.. yes I always use powerfull before fasted cardio and I've heard Mullet talk about using AP in fasted training as well but I dont have the specifics

I would also wait on the bcaa's until after your cardio if you're using powerfull or just use some luecine as it wont convert to glucose

Fasted AP cardio is simple get up take 1 AP and your morning powerfull dose etc.. then 15 - 20 minutes later do your cardio. Works wonders.

Oh and your last carbs should be 12 hours before you take your morning AP ... so if you are taking y our AP at 7 am for a 7:20 cardio session then no carbs after 7 pm the night before. That's about it really.

so would you then dose another AP berfore breakfast or would there be enough in your system already? I usually take my Powerfull fasted cardio about 45 min then bcaa then take my AP before I get in the shower and eat my oats after that.

That was my next question...lol.

Enough in your system if you respond like me. I eat around 20-30 minutes after cardio.

I am presuming that the AP and powerfull will stop the breakdown of muscle tissue then?
I have always had it drummed into me not to do cardio in the morning without taking in a small amount of whey or BCAA.
Is it also good to add recreate to this stack?

Yea I used to think the same thing but if you do take some whey it would not be fasted and the bcaa's can turn into glucose witch would diminish the effects of the hgh rasing ability in powerfull because insulin blocks the release of hgh and as far as muscle breakdown if your taking the AP, PFULL, and super cissus it will be minimal you could get some bulk luecine and take about 5 grams before u train as leucine is the only bcaa that won't convert to glucose and it forces protein synthesis hope this helps:)

Yah there is grey here, I believe that it may come down to situation and body type.

That is a massive help. Thankyou for your input, I appreciate it.:thanks:

Think I will play around with it a bit. I am usually up at around 5 and train at 6ish, so taking a small amount of BCAA at 5 might be ok. Will try with and without and see how it goes.

Well, I have done my stats this morning, and everything is pretty much the same as last week, but I am definately leaner. The last 2 comps that I won are today and next Saturday, and people keep asking me if I'm doing them as I look in shape to compete. I considered it, but at the moment my goals are to put on size and keep healthy, and to go back next year and obliterate them! Lol

Well, another week has gone, and am just blown away by the changes that I am seeing each week! Weight still the same but have lost more inches, this time on my legs, which is pretty much the only place that I am still holding any fat.

The supplement that I feel is having the most impact is the AP, as the extra carbs are making a huge difference to my training.

Its quite interesting, I had a slightly lower day on friday and perhaps not enough before I trained yesterday and I felt weak as a kitten. I even had to drop some of my weights. Although it has been a pretty intense week of training. Have just completed week 3 of the freak workout, training 6 days alternating between upper and lower body. I think that maybe by yesterday my body was ready for a rest, which is exactly what I'm doing today!

Don't underestimate the recomp properties of Prime... I ran it solo and had the same kind of effect (maintained weight while losing fat). AP is great for me too when you put them together, that must be great. I started my recomp off with TNT and AP cuz I had just finished 8 weeks of Prime but today I'm back on the Prime!! TNT held it's own though there were some weak moments but all and all it held up.

Have just started 69 protocol for Prime, but am only doing it 3 days a week, as I cant afford to do it every day. Am doing it on harder training days and higher carbs days. Seems to be working pretty well so far. Looking forward to seeing the results!

Decided to use 69 protocol properly instead of just 3 days a week, and all I can say is WOW. It makes a huge difference when you go from 6 to 9. Awesome product, well actually the whole stack is awesome. I would say it is perfect for females wanting to see serious results and would be a great stack pre comp.

Funny I just went back on Prime at 6 ed and am pretty astounded (this being my 3rd run) how hard it's kicked in already. Seems every run kicks in earlier. I am experiencing unearthly muscle hardness and volume. I'm am on more of a cut but I see size gain.

You guys are making want to add PRIME to my recomp... shhhhhh (it makes me eat like a damn bear)

Well, I haven't posted for a while so I thought I better bring you up to date with my progress. Am on week 7 of stack now and things just keep getting better. Have started using 69 protocol for prime, and that has really kicked things up a gear. Weight pretty much stable and no major changes in measurements but body comp changed alot. Fat mass definately come down and lean gone up.

Awesome training sessions too.

I do however feel that I may be hampering my progress slightly as I am a bit of a cardio junkie and do a mix of HIIT and metabolic training most days first thing before breakfast. I am starting to feel that I either need to cut back, or up my carbs even more. Even though on some days im consuming 200g carbs, I feel pretty flat alot of the time which suggests that my glycogen stores aren't getting a chance to fill up properly. Still getting great pumps when I'm training though.

If anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate hearing them.

But generally, am having an amazing experience with stack. Have 5 weeks to go until i finish Freak Workout, then I will be coming off stack. Not looking forward to that!!!

Well if you feel like cardio may be a factor you could always just eat more to compensate. Prime really uses up the calories, it's pretty hard maybe close to impossible to gain fat on it. Combine it with AP and you can lose fat at a steady pace and actually gain weight. That's what happened to me, I started an 8 week macro cycle using AP and Pslin and did not use Prime at first as I was taking a break from it. I lost 7 and half pounds in the first 4 weeks. The I added Prime and even tightened up my diet a bit and I lost just as much fat in the last 2 weeks but.... I gained 2 pounds !! So I figure I lost close to 10 lbs of fat but only 5.5 body weight. The remarkable thing is, is this is my third prime run, I should be plateaued a bit as far as muscle gains are concerned but the stuff just keeps on delivering. One thing I did learn when dieting like this is when your hungry eat!! I just make wise choices. Love losing fat in an anabolic environment.

Done my stats again this morning...down another 1lb, but feeling leaner and a bit fuller. Have cut back on cardio quite a bit, but I still think that I can eat more.
I'm actually thinking about letting rip with my diet for a week, no holds barred! Not junk, just clean food but LOTS of it, just to see what happens. I'm usually very organised, all meals planned, eating every 21/2 to 3 hours with macros weighed out. Would be great to have a week of just eating what I want, without weighing and having to prep everything.
Only problem is having the nerve to do it! As you have probably gathered I eat a very structured and controlled diet, it will take me some guts to let go for a week. It could potentially either make or break me, lol.

Great progress!!! Im the same way with the structured eating. I have everything planned and entered on fitday and all meals are weighed and measured to the "T". This is even in the offeseason for me as well.Im not so sure I could go for a week with out planning and weighing. If I did I think that I would end up undereating if anything since I would be too worried of overeating. Crazy i know!!!..lol

Ill would be interested to see how it goes for you! Good luck!

Yah that's sort of what I was talking about. I remember when I ramped up prime I got nice gains with absolutely no fat gain (if anything fat loss). The extra Prime made me really hungry and I ate more cuz I think it's important to listen to your body, even when recomping. I just made sure of the quality. So you may lose fat slower but you'll still lose it, and you start to put on mass. These products are extremely versataile.

Thats pretty much how I feel too. I eat like that all year round, macros just change when I'm competing. I have a 'cheat night' on a Saturday and eat whatever I want but even then its pretty sensible. I have to admit that on a Sunday when I don't train, my plan isn't so structured and I know that I don't eat enough. Tell tale sign is quality of training session on a Monday!
The thing that's difficult is that I'm out and about for most of the day, so in a sense it is easier for me to prepare food and take it with me. I would be concerned that I may not be able to get the type of Foods that I want if I have to buy out.

Sounds like I'm talking myself out of it already, lol.

how is it going pippie?? what did you decide to do as far as planning and tracking your macros?

I have eased off slightly, but not completely. Really just because it was easier to plan due to my work schedule this week. I have been eating different foods and the only macros that I'm checking are carbs because of taking AP. It is working fine and I certainly don't look any worse for it!
