| Anzac Rep | Friday 3/10/08: Leg/Shoulder Today’s session was actually training with my trainer as a partner, a 130kg/10%BF monster. Felt 100% mentally recovered. Felt damn good in fact. Slight tightness across chest and back – that ‘worked’ feeling, but in good shape all things considered. Had some symptoms happening before I even stepped foot in the gym: Positive aggression, euphoria, charged energy ….and the numbers speak for themselves. I am trying to compare ‘apples with apples’, however I must highlight these sets are again higher reps (10 compared to 8), and there is greater rest between sets (5 minutes compared to 2 minutes) Note that leg/shoulder exercises are paired as supersets. Performance from the get go – destroyed the squats – trainer was surprised. I was surprised – and pumped out the shoulder presses too. It was the leg press that blew me out of the water. After watching my trainer curling 100kg the tag line was ‘while I’m going heavy you might as well too’ …3rd set = Personal Best at 360kg for 8 reps unassisted – 19 days since the previous leg workout on a less than perfect diet and the remnants of jet lag…. …and the rest of my numbers weren’t too shabby either. My trainer reckons I have lost no size at all - which is a welcome relief. There was no cardio that day – after that WO my entire body felt destroyed but pumped up and the euphoria felt borderline illegal. Needed a nanna-nap that arvo. Slept like the dead that night - 10 hours. My appetite is also through the roof – I think the ReCreate was keeping a cap on the hunger – fully unleased now. Do you squat every leg workout? I've started squatting recently, and would like to continue but the stress they put on my entire leg is amazing. I mean, last week I literally could barely walk the next day due to IOMS (immediately sore, lol) and lasted the greater part of the week. Same thing the previous week, but I can already see an outer sweep improvement with the bare eye. The main problem is, if I squat, I can't deadlift that week either out of respect for my back... Regarding Prime, both of us have historically been responders to herbal supplements, and specifically USPlabs extracts. I'm betting that Prime is helpin' you out here, and I hope your response continues to become more pronounced as you continue your run! I don't use a belt either - just strict form down to parallel at pace. The big CNS shock is squating then immediately supersetting with bb military presses - your whole body goes into meltdown. | Anzac Rep | Saturday 4-10-08 No training and sore as hell - everywhere, but muscles feeling tight and full. Went for a walk along the Ate like a maniac - swordfish for lunch, steak for dinner. Kept the P-Slin to twice a day to manage carbs. Drank a bottle of red wine. Pinot Noir. Thanks to my bro! ![]() To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 0 or greater. | Anzac Rep | Monday 6/10/08: Chest/Back (again.. and why not?) Did a little beach cardio on Sunday to loosen up the legs – they were still pretty much wrecked from Friday. Continued to eat on demand – moderately clean, heavy on protein and regulating carbs using P-Slin. Monday morning chest and back were recovered enough from 4 days earlier to hit it again. The results are posted at the bottom. Have added in a column called work (reps x weights) in lieu of using a calorie calculator. Not quite there in the bench, but all else either on par or over. The important thing to note is the amount of work within the same period of time i.e.30 minutes. Let me reiterate over the last 3 weeks: 1.Nutrition and eating patterns sub-optimal (some days v. ordinary). 2.Fatigue through climate, work and travel. 3.Prior to RnR, exercises restricted to bodyweight and some half-arsed cardio. 4.Have lost 2kg with no apparent loss of lean mass and strength as reported when finally got access to the gym. These results are my Prime experience to date - using realworld data to demonstrate performance over description. Under the right conditions I believe some spectacular results could be achieved– something to look forward to when those conditions eventually present themselves.
