| Registered User | Can Recreate taken with meals? Hi Guys, I have a few questions: - as the title says, can I take Recreate with meals? or should I take it on empty stomach? and can I take it 30-60 mins after meal? - I plan to spread 3 caps of recreate evenly thoroughout the day (6 am, 12 pm, 5-6 pm) is this OK? the direction says to take 2 caps in the morning and 1 cap in the afternoon. - For Anabolic Pump's carbs sources, can I use muesli / quick cooking oats instead of regular oatmeal (I know it's dumb questions) thanks! |

#1b. Generally speaking, the environment of an empty stomach is 3 hours post meal. #2. The dosing recommendation is a recommended guide line. Asses your tolerance to the supplement and then you can fine tune your desired dosing. I take 4 a day, 2 first thing in the morning (8:00am), and again around 3pm. Although, I have taken 6 a day before, but try the recommended dose first and add your 1 extra cap as you see fit upon experience. #3. Yes. The type of carbs you use has more to do with your personal goals, in terms of fast and slow digesting carbs. For the most part, oats are oats, apart from some intricacies we don't need to discuss, oats are slow digesting carbs across the board. So in short, yes. Thanks Volcom, the reason I ask about muesli / quick oats is because it's difficult to find steel cut / rolled oats. But I guess you're right, oats are oats, unless the sugary kind. thanks again for the useful info! | |

| Gold Member | I agree with the answer posted, but allow me to add: -never after meals, always before, you can vary the time frame, and see what is most effective for you. I still found positive affects taking it as little as 5-10 minutes before a few meals. -you can really play with the timing on recreate and still see the benefits, but for me personally, 6pm would be a little bit late at night for me to take it, although the stim effect is negligible to non-existent, when compared to other stim/diet pills, I prefer not to take anything that may in any way affect the normal pattern of getting tired and being able to sleep at night. -again, this has answer has been nailed, but ap works great with all kinds of carb sources. And finally, once again, I must agree, that AP and recreate really does make a fantastic combo. Good luck. Quote:

Hi Everybody, thanks for the info. I will do as you guys said. Regarding taking stims 6 pm : yeah, I will re-adjust it into 5-5:30. However, I find myself not having difficulty sleeping even if I take stimulants late....it's weird. I usually workout around 7-7:30 pm, so that's why I need to take recreate around evening, to get me through my workout. I guess I will take one caps recreate right after I get up of bed, one around noon, and one around 4-5 pm...will this work? Yes, AP and recreate definitely work. I think I make progress (getting leaner, etc) it's slow, but steady progress. Sometimes I wonder how people can lost so much bodyfat % in weeks ( it took me months to lose little bodyfat ) LOL | |

Hi Boro, Right now I'm doing carb cycling because it give me the best result compared to conventional diet. I'm pretty strict with my diet. my cycle consist of no-carb (45p, 15c, 40f), low-carb (45p, 30c, 25f), high carb (30-35p, 45-50c,15f). note that this numbers are not exact. Calories around 2200-2400 on no&lo, 3000-3100 on high carb. I use spreadsheet to track my diet. My stats: Height : 5' 8" age : 27 Sex : Male Weight :178-ish Body fat : around 12-13% judging from my appearance (pretty lean everywhere, a bit of fat in lower back & lower abs) Typical diet in a day: breakfast : - egg whites & whole egg ( I make omelette with veggies) - oatmeal (on lo & hi-carb) - tempeh - Fish Oil meal 2 : - chicken - apples - almonds lunch : - egg whites & whole egg ( same as breakfast) - tempeh - broccoli - sweet potato (on high carb) meal 4 : - whey + casein - oatmeal (on high carb) - coconut oil post-WO : - whey + instant oats dinner : - chicken - broccoli - fat sources ( fish oil, almonds, etc) - Sweet potato (on hi-carb) pre-bed : - casein protein the amount of protein, carb and fat varies between no, low, and high carb day. On no-carb, I still eat apple, and eating carbs around my workout, but not so much. I also have cheat meals on weekend, usually saturday night, sunday noon & night. on sunday morning I have my usual breakfast since I have breakfast at home. I almost never pig out on my cheat meals. I eat one, or two serving on cheat meals. I rarely eat sweet stuff ( I get sick of the taste easily.) Supplements I currently use : whey, casein, multi, BCAA, AP, and recreate, and usual supps (vit.C, R-ALA, milk thistle, fiber, potassium, fish & flax oil. I almost finish my tub of size-on, and I don't think i will buy again (great product, but expensive). I got a lot of tubs in my cabinet it scares everyone who sees it ( actually they're just tubs of protein & BCAA, but different flavors LOL) thanks again for the info guys! | |

This looks very good. I too have ran 'carb-cycling' programs. I usually recommend that you rather think of it as a 'macronutrient' cycling program. The only issue i see is that your total kCal's drop drastically on your no/low days. The idea behind the 'macronutrient' cycling programs i have studied is to simply change meal composition not total kCal. Therefore, you may want to consider lowering dietary fat and protein intake on 'high carb' days to allow for more carbohydrate intake without spilling over your kCal cap. As in the presence of high insulin secretion, muscle loss is not an issue and you get the endurance and strength boost of packed glycogen stores. On high carb days, you may want to consider adding PURE Supplement Pslin. It is the perfect addition to your high carb days. In addition, this would mean that your 'no/low' days would consist 90% dietary fat and protein. If you have any other questions, let us know! Best of luck. You see, I don't live in the US ( I live in southeast asia), and the only way to get supplements is to have my brother bought it and bring it home (he studied in the US and comes home once a year). The only supplements sold here are general supplements (amino, whey, creatine, tribulus, fat burners) and the brands sold here are also general (optimum, muscletech, ultimate, prolab, etc). You won't find "advance" supplement companies sold here. It's funny that people here think Nitro-Tech is the bomb, while 5 lbs tubs were sold around $100 LOL ![]() | |
