BCAA custom blends

Hello,

Just put in an order for a custome blend of:

75% BCAA
15% Citrulline Malate
10% L glutamine
Premium orange juice flavor

I'm hoping it tastes decent!

Anyone else create a custom BCAA blend? flavors? formula? What was good, what was bad? TIA

I did a BCAA blend of 50/50 BCAAs and WPI, and used BSL Watermelon for the flavoring. It actually taste pretty good, and is refreshing during workouts.

Is it recommended that in addition to the flavour pack, a sweetner also be used when using large percentage of a bitter supp like BCAA powder?

Well with the flavour packs you can just add additional flavor till it gets to the sweetness/taste you are looking for. i'm getting mine pre-mixed w/ the flavor already in it. Hopefully the tartnes of the CM and the orange juice flavor help reduce the bitterness of the BCAA.

Personally I hate the bitter taste of BCAAs so I had sucralose added on top of the flavoring and I think it helped a lot, so its really a matter of personal preference.

Received the goods. Actually tastes decent, flavoring is on the light side but I will be mixing it with Mango-Pineapple I-Pro for my WO drink so not a big deal to me. Was hoping for a stronger/sweeter flavor. Might have to go the Flavor pack route the next time.

glad to hear it came out ok, the leucine can be pretty bitter, but if you go in knowing what to expect it is usually better than expected

Yah, wasn't a big concern as I wouldn't be consuming it on its own. Actually just got back from the gym. 4 scoops of the bcaa blend mixed w/ 1.5 scoops of WPI in 32 oz of water is perfect.
