Hey guys, I wasn't just where to post this exactly.

I bought the T1Pro w/ DMSO, and I understand you should have very clean skin very you apply it - due to the fact that DMSO can pull whatever is on the surface through (bacteria, viruses, whatever). So its a good idea either to shower or wash the area thoroughly. Is this correct or am I being overly cautious?

pogue, i have learned that dmso is 1 of the best transdermal penetrators enhancers. it just makes sense 2 me to have the app site as clean as possible, as well as hair free. this would b to maximize absorption. i am sure there will b others w/ much more knowledge on the issuse than i have, help shed light in this subject. just don't put it under your tongue, it don't taste like chicken. 8^)

I think good hygene procedures are a good idea, but I wouldnt worry to the point of phobia. I always applied mine right after my shower, but I also didnt hesitate to put it on without a shower if I was running late. If you have been in an area where germs are running rampant, like a landfill or the Jersey Shore..then I would shower prior to application.

Keep a few things in mind:

  • The human body is constantly filled with bacteria and viruses.  From the e-coli that fills the colon to the nondescript parasites in the mouth.  Point is that the body is designed to recognize and attack foreign parasites...and it's good at doing this job.
  • DMSO has been used to dose everything from tren to 1-test for thousands of users over the course of years.  Not one case of bacterial, viral, or chemical contamination has been reported (and some have used 50% DMSO, such as with fina).  This is not said to endorse the absolute safety of DMSO but to demonstrate real world use.  As everyone knows, there will be that one slob who has missed his once per week shower and just got back from the city dump after rummaging for aluminum cans then decides to apply his transdermal.  For him, bacterial contamination would be a concern ;)

As a general rule, the cleanliness of the skin is important but not paramount if a daily showering regime is followed.  In other words, shower daily and this should be well enough.

I've use 100% DMSO for a long time years ago. Just make sure you don't have gasoline or such on your hands or skin and you should be fine.

Did you smell like garlic?

I thought DMSO had a sulfur odor to it...

I would define it as garlic. Yeah, I stunk pretty good. I thought there was something that I took to help reduce that, but I can't remember what it is right now. It will pop into my head when I stop thinking about it though...

Update us when you remember...thanks

Same stuff I eat when I eat garlic meals - parsley. I did a quick search on the web and read that parsley seed oil may also be effective in reducing the DMSO stink.

I'm going to start a T-1 cycle around Christmas. When I do, I'll test the parsley theory out again. It will be the first time I have messed around with DMSO in a long time.

I was doing some reading a while back, and it turns out that DMSO has anti-bacterial AND anti-viral properties as well as anti-infalmmatory/localized pain-releiving etc, etc....DMSO is good stuff....and all the Isopropyl Alcohol on the transdermals will kill all the germs and stuff anyway....so thats like a 1-2 punch :)

Read, read, read...it's out there ;)

AND...provided that you are not a nasty pig (i.e. you shower every day) you should be clean enough already :p

LG.
