I was searching online for possible ingredients for trans-d homebrew. i found a side which says stearic acid is used as a thickener. would that be a possible alternative to carbomer?

the site also states that caprylic/capric triglyceride is great for penetrating the skin. would that be a possible PE. i don't remember seeing this ingredient mentioned on here before.
