Need Androgel 1% receipe or something simular

I have a buddy who abused steroids in his younger years. His doc perscribed him androgel 1% ... a 30 day supply costs him $235 for 30 packets. I was curious if i could make him a homebrew androgel to save him some $$. For instance a test base via dmso gel or something to that nature. All help in this area would be greatly apperciated.

If he doesn't have insurance, then he might want to consider testosterone cypinonate weekly injections. Much cheaper.

Testim is cheaper than Androgel. It smells, but I don't think it is nearly as bad as DMSO.

Another option is to have a compounding pharmacy make him a transdermal testosterone gel or cream. They can do a superior job to mixing some test and DMSO at home.

If he is legally prescribed testosterone, then it only makes sense to obtain and use it legally.

Appreciate it anyone has any ideas on these points!

Just wondered, speaking theoretically of course.... but if one added a couple of drops of DMSO and a couple of drops of D-Limolene to a 2.5 gram packet of AndroGel and applied it to their skin, would the efficiency of the transference through the skin barrier be improved?

And - still speaking theoretically of course - about how much DMSO and D-Limolene would one wish to incorporate into the 2.5 gram packet of AndroGel to obtain a 40% transference ratio through their skin (AndoGel itself having only a 10% transference ratio)?

If this process did work as thought to, would it eliminate or at least minimize the problem effects that AndroGel has of rubbing off onto clothing, getting washed off by showering or even heavy sweating during workouts, and problem with transference to other persons if contact made during first several hours?

Finally, would this process simply enhance transport across skin barrier... or would it also more quickly deliver the testosterone to the bloodstream thereby causing good levels early and requiring then one or more re-applications later in the day?
