How much of this should be added? Should the amount of other ingredients be altered with it? Thanks
The recipe for the lotions have changed from 1 g carbomer to .5 grams of carbomer and .5 grams of methyl cellulose to thicken. The reason for this is that as members add cellulose based powders (pellets) it would leach the water from the carbomer and cause it to stratify. With the inclusion and processing of the methyl cellulose it allows for a much wider range of gelling potential (pH).
To answer your question, add 1 gram of carbomer to each 240 mL
or
.5 grams of carbomer and .5 grams of methyl cellulose
Neither will require you adjust the amount of other ingredients.
