    hst routine....kinda...


    I'm trying to put together my routine for the summer and I was thinking about using the basics guidelines of HST but making my own out of it. So here it is.

    Monday:
    Incline DB Press 3x10
    Lat Pulldown 3x10
    DB Shoulder Press 3x10
    Squats 3x10
    Rope Crunches 2x12
    Standing DB Curls 2x12
    Dips 2x12

    Tuesday:
    Flat DB Press 3x10
    Rows 3x10
    Lat Raises 3x10
    Leg Curls 3x10
    Leg Raises 2x12
    Incline Curls 2x12
    Pressdowns 2x12

    Wed: off

    Thurs:
    Incline DB Press 3x10
    Close grip pulldown 3x10
    Shrugs 3x10
    Leg Extensions 3x10
    Rope crunches 2x12
    Preacher Curls 2x12
    Skullcrushers 2x12

    Friday:
    Flat DB Press 3x10
    Straight Arm Pulldowns (lats) 3x10
    Reverse Flys 3x10
    Calf Raises 3x10
    Crunches 2x12
    DB Seated Curls 2x12
    Reverse tricep pulldown 2x12

    So it's 12 sets chest, 12 sets back, 12 sets shoulders, 12 sets legs, 8 sets biceps, 8 sets tricpes, and 8 sets abs. Look good? I think this will be a fun routine and maybe get the growth hormone flowing a little bit. Would u guys change anything? suggestions? Thanks!

    too much benching not enough squatting and deadlifting for my liking but hey its your routine?

    yea i'm not powerlifting or anything just a summer routine that will keep me in shape, any other thoughts?

    squats and deadlifts will do more to keep you in shape than any other exercises will, you do not have to be a powerlifter to squat and deadlift.

    other thoughts, go to the hst forum, read the FAQ, design your routine around the vanuilla template and go from there.

    My idea of a nice quick summer routine:

    M- W - F
    Squat/Dead (Alternate) 3 sets of 7-10
    Bench-Dumbells or Barbell 3 sets of 7-10
    (incl and flat alternate)
    Dips (alternate with above) 3 sets of 7-10
    Rows 3 sets of 7-10
    Pull-Ups 3 sets of 7-10
    Shoulder Press 3 sets of 7-10
    Incline Hammer Curls 1-2 sets of 7-10
    Skull Crushers 1-2 sets of 7-10
    Calf Raises 2-3 sets of 7-10

    Truely it isn't an HST routine, it's just a 3x a week full body routine. If you want to go with the HST routine then I suggest you go with country suggestion and check out the HST Vanilla routines.
