Hi everyone. I'm 34, been training for 1.5 yrs. My goal is to build upperbody mass and be cut like a fitness model. With that in mind, what do you think of this routine?

day 1: 3x10 barbell bench, 3x10 pec flies, abs
day 2: off
day 3: 2x10 weighted pullups, 4x15 lat pulldowns
day 4: abs
day 5: 3x10 shoulder press, 3x10 military press, 3x10 tri's
day 6: off
day 7: 3x5 deadlift, 3x10 shrugs, 3x10 ez curl
day 8: off
Repeat

Each time I'll increase the reps until I can do 13, then drop back to 8 reps and increase the weight. So I'll be progressing every workout.

hey, 34 as well. The lifting routine is kind of light on reps, so make sure you go as heavy as possible. As far as being cut like a fitness model, that's all about diet. Post your diet so we can get a better idea. Also, what's your weight, height, body fat %.

Considering cardio, if your under 10% I would add in low intensity cardio for 15 - 30 minutes.
If your over 10 - 15%, then I would suggest HIIT cardio for 15 - 30 minutes. You could add 30 minutes of cardio on your off days.

Ummm...gonna point out the obvious here. Where are your legs at? Deadlift is amazing when done right but no leg workout?
